04 The illuminated strip between the headlights

and the illuminated door handle recesses are standard
accents on your Golf Style – or, by special request, on

05 The eTSI with mild hybrid technology is a new

addition to the engine.2 A starter-alternator supports
the engine during starting, and when driving at low
speed. Braking and coasting energy is used to charge
the lithium-ion battery, which significantly results
consumption and emissions. The exhaust pipes1 of
your Golf discreetly disappear under a beautifully
shaped rear diffuser.

In the Golf, you have the option of adjusting not only the background
lighting to your mood, but also the style of the display in the cockpit.
Customised and intuitive. The Golf also stores up to 14 driver profiles
and adapts settings to the driver as soon as they sit behind the wheel.

01 Set the Golf to your own personal preferences: seat position, temperature,
lighting, Infotainment display and control, navigation and assist systems – once
installed, the personalised profile is stored and activated as soon as you enter
the vehicle. This is especially practical if several different people use the Golf and
need to make their own adjustments, It is then unnecessary to readjust the settings
every time you use the vehicle. The system does the work for you. OE

02 An end to time wasted looking for misplaced keys – your smartphone becomes your mobile key1 which
instantly opens and starts your new Golf. You can also share extra digital keys with your friends and family

congestion, and warn of dangerous local conditions.
The traffic hazard alert, fitted as standard, supports
the driver with useful information such as warnings
about roadwork or emergency vehicles.1 Communication
is handled by wireless Car2X technology (Wi-Fi p).2 S

02 At the touch of a button, Travel Assist ensures a

high level of driving comfort by providing support in
monotonous or tiring conditions: on the motorway
and major provincial roads in particular, Travel Assist
can keep you in lane and maintain speed, as well as
staying the right distance from traffic ahead.1 When
used in combination with the dual clutch gearbox
(DSG), it means you can even tackle congested roads

and stop-and-start traffic with little stress.1 ST OE

03 ACC Adaptive Cruise Control helps you to maintain a set maximum speed3
and a user-defined distance from the vehicle in front. In combination with an
optional navigation system, the ACC system is equipped with predictive cruise
control and a cornering assistant. The system adopts official speed limits and
so can help you to avoid speeding violations.1 It also independently adjusts the
vehicle speed at corners, crossings (turns) and roundabouts, using route data
from the navigation system.1 S

04 The IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist advanced
main-beam control light the way more brightly and further ahead.1 Thanks to

matrix technology, individual LED segments can be specifically turned on or off.
The advantage here is that when driving with main beam on, as any vehicles

05 Adaptive chassis control uses electronically
controlled shock absorbers to continuously adapt to
different driving situations.1 The driver can use a
digital slide controller to fine tune and save their
personal driving profile on an individual basis. When
cornering, vehicle dynamics settings ensure even
more precise handling. OE

06 The lane change system uses LED lights in the
exterior mirrors to alert you to vehicles in your blind
spot or vehicles driving up to 50 metres behind you.1
When you indicate to change lane, the system analyses
the position and speed of such vehicles to calculate
whether they may hazardous to you; and if so, attracts
your attention by means of conspicuously flashing
LED lights in the mirror. OE
07 Risky situations can sometimes arise during
monotonous journeys. This is where Lane Assist comes
into play: at speeds above 60 km/h, it can detect if

the vehicle has inadvertently strayed out of its lane.1
With a corrective steering intervention, it can then

according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), a new, more
