Congressman Jim Banks

2418 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Congressman Banks,

My name is Avery Morrison, and I am a senior social work major at Manchester University. I am
reaching out to you about the current House of Representative Bill 46 on increasing mental
health accessibility to help prevent gun violence. This bill will be very valuable to those who
have experienced gun violence and help create a more health assessable America.

Gun violence is unfortunately continuing to be an issue in America, and what follows these
tragedies in inadequate access to mental health supports. This bill would allow for us to create
better opportunities and access to mental health resources for the millions in our country
affected by gun violence.

Growing up and living in Indiana my whole life has allowed for me to see the different ways in
which we have lacked to provide accessible mental health services to those in need. I believe it
is important for you to consider this bill as it will help create more resources in Indiana for
individuals experiencing a mental health illness.

After what I have discussed I hope you will start to support the I believe this will be a great bill
to support as you continue to serve our state. I hope you plan to cosponsor the bill and continue
to keep making Indiana a safe and protected state for Hoosiers to call home.

Sincerely,

Avery Morrison
