INTRODUCTION

Human resource management is a demanding and rewarding field of work. Positions inside
the field of human resources enable people to accomplish continual professional progress and
carry out meaningful work. These positions have been consistently recognized in various "the
best jobs" reports and are now predicted to have greater-than-average job growth. The method of
effectively handling an organization's people, sometimes referred to as its human resources or
human capital, is known as human resource (HR) management. HR specialists are in charge of
managing the activities associated with managing people inside a company. These activities
include, among others, staffing, remuneration, benefits, training and development, and strategic
planning.

For certain entry-level HR professions, a college degree is not required, but in today's
competitive employment market, completing a formal HR education is becoming increasingly
crucial. Human Resource Management (HRM) took into account the type of advice it offers to
those considering HR as a career and the type of formal education one should undertake to be
appropriately prepared to become an HR professional in response to the increased demand for
knowledgeable HR professionals.

HRM strongly advises undergraduates to seek a well-balanced curriculum that encompasses

the social sciences, humanities, and behavioral sciences. Both written and spoken
communication skills development courses are crucial. However, business studies including
economics, general business, business and labor law, accounting, marketing, management, and
statistics should be prioritized for HR students. Any additional courses completed to fulfill the
more complex technical requirements of human resources specialty, such as pay and benefits,
should be taught with a business focus and the application of the functional area of expertise to
business or policy.

Effectiveness and efficiency issues in the education sector management of human resources.
The growth of an educational institution depends on the HRM procedures used to recruit, retain,
and prepare instructors to work there. (Dessler, 2007). Performance and job happiness are
constantly connected. Teachers will be more invested in and devoted to their careers if they are
happy with their jobs. Teachers that are happy with their jobs impart knowledge to their pupils
with enthusiasm and commitment to maximize learning. When workers are happy, they are more
dedicated, creative, and productive for their companies. The human resource includes several
procedures and frameworks that might influence how well people perform and behave. (Gerhart,
Hollenbeck, Noe & Wright, 2007).

Being a teacher involves more than just imparting knowledge; it also involves serving as an
educator and assisting students in becoming well-rounded individuals who can contribute to
society and the environment. Teachers nowadays must cultivate a critical mindset so that they
can make informed judgments in a world where globalization has a significant impact on
education.

The teacher, as an educator in the school, is entrusted with assisting pupils in learning to
understand issues from different sides, not just one side, due to the abundance of information,
both positive and bad. Students will learn how to think critically, creatively, and innovatively as a
result of the teacher's teaching strategy.

A problem that is impacted by several circumstances is the caliber of education. Undoubtedly

one of the major causes is Human resources education. The quality of education will achieve the
best improvement if the quality of teaching staff is increased. Success in a school institution is
measured not by the institution's performance but rather by how well its resources particularly its
teaching staff perform. According to this justification, a thorough investigation of the
management of educator resources about planning for educators, developing educators,
evaluating educators, and developing educators, as well as the remuneration system, is required.

It is necessary to meet a number of prerequisites in order to become a professional teacher.

Future teacher candidates are the only ones who can complete these standards, allowing them to
carry out their responsibilities to raise the standard of education via their work as instructors and
educators. Through numerous training programs, for instance.
According to Csorba, in order to support important young schoolchildren, training needs
analysis, identification of priority areas of interest, planning solutions, designing training events
and resources, accreditation of programs, delivery of programs, integration of new information
and communication technologies, and management of training are necessary.

The purpose of this study is to determine how the Human Resource Students of Cavite State

THEORETICAL/CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Career-related thinking patterns that influence a person's behavior in a particular way are
known as career choice motivations. (Richardson & Watt, 2006, 2016; Wigfield & Eccles, 2000).
The field of work and organizational psychology has created a wide range of theoretical models
that characterize career development and career choice either as a dynamic process (e.g., theory
of circumscription and compromise, Gottfredson, 2005) or as a single decision based on personal
traits (e.g., theory of vocational personalities and work environments, Holland, 1997), drawing
on general theories of motivation (e.g., Atkinson, 1964; McClelland, 1961):

Based on a variety of theoretical theories, there are many suggestions on how to classify the
discovered motivating elements. One such theoretical model, the expectancy-value theory, makes
the supposition that decisions are influenced by expectations and values. This concept views job
choice as the product of an evaluation that considers both the worth of anticipated results and the
likelihood that these goals will be realized. (Wigfield & Eccles, 2000). The most well-known
expectancy-value-based model for assessing teachers' career choice motivations, Factors
Influencing Teaching Choice (FIT-Choice), takes into account intrinsic values, personal utility
values like job security, social utility values like the social contribution a teacher can make, task
demands and task returns of the profession, as well as self-perceptions of (future) teachers.
(Richardson & Watt, 2006, 2016; Watt & Richardson, 2007).

Expectancy-value theory proposes that decisions are influenced by expectations and values.
According to this concept, choosing a vocation is the result of an evaluation that weighs the
worth of anticipated results as well as the likelihood that these outcomes will materialize.
(Wigfield & Eccles, 2000). The most renowned expectancy-value-based model for assessing the
motivations behind teachers' career decisions, Factors Influencing Teaching Choice
(FIT-Choice), takes into account intrinsic values, job demands and task returns, self-perceptions
of (future) teachers, personal utility values (such as job security), and social utility values (such
as the social contribution a teacher can make) in addition to these factors. (Richardson & Watt,
2006, 2016; Watt & Richardson, 2007). Additionally, it addresses socializing factors and the
alternative job choice of teaching.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

This chapter focuses on the review of related literature of local literature and local studies,
foreign literature and foreign studies from selected research materials, articles and journals. This
study has been conducted to gain a deeper understanding about Pursuing the Career of Human
Resource Students by Influence of the Instructors/Professors regarding it.

The Positive Role of Teachers for Students

According to modern theories of education, schools should put an emphasis on teaching

pupils how to study, developing their capacity for autonomous learning, and establishing the
groundwork for what is known as "lifelong learning," a catchphrase for continuing education that
reflects the zeitgeist. According to the learning perspective, students who are capable of
autonomous learning may be held accountable for their own learning during the teaching process
and can control their own learning by exhibiting the following traits. Subjectivity means that
students take on a more active role in the teaching process, are able to contribute to all
teaching-related decisions from the outset, are able to consciously monitor and assess their own
learning, can make adjustments in line with the potential for self-improvement, and ultimately
become the masters of their own learning. Independence: During the learning process, students
have the freedom to select their special instructional strategies by their learning preferences.
They may also freely and strategically address any issues that arise. Forward-looking: Students
take the initiative to engage in teaching and learning, and they may design new learning
modalities for themselves to adapt to the educational activities for present and future societal
development so they can meet the difficulties when new issues from learning occur.

The cognitive-psychological system which includes sensory, perceptual, memory, reasoning,

and intellectual abilities as well as the emotional system which includes motivation, attitude,
interest, emotion, will, and personality, are both important components of students' autonomous
learning. Four key factors comprise its fundamental components. Autonomous learners' attitudes
and motives are part of the psychological component of autonomous learning. Independent
learning is based on this inner drive and tenet. The foundational academic capacity for
independent learning is the availability of relevant information and experience that satisfies the
prerequisites for independent learning. Independent learning is built upon this. Observation,
thought, association, memory, and other intellectual skills are part of autonomous learning. This
is a critical component of autonomous learning ability and a possible area for growth.

The strategies and abilities of independent learning include understanding the traits and
guidelines of topic learning, selecting the processes and techniques of independent learning,
establishing effective study habits, and learning strategically. The aforementioned four
components work together to create a four-in-one "alloy" that is the autonomous learning of kids.
In terms of teaching, we point out that the majority of the population is pupils, but we do not
discount the importance of instructors. We think that in this model, teachers not only impart
knowledge to students but also take a proactive role, i.e., guide interest (stimulating the engine
and arousing interest), guide direction (disclosing the goal), guide doubt (stimulating questions
and triggering thinking), guide the method (teaching skills), guide feedback (timely correction),
etc. The leadership roles of professors and students can best be integrated into this fashion.

Teacher Effectiveness

One of the most crucial school-based tools for predicting pupils' future academic progress and
results throughout their lifetimes, according to researchers, are teachers. (Chetty et al. 2014;
Rivkin et al. 2005; Rockoff 2004). As a result, strengthening teacher effectiveness has received a
lot of attention as a way to improve student learning. Goe (2007) and others characterized
teacher effectiveness in terms of an increase in the learning of their students, which is often
gauged by their performance on standardized tests. Chetty et al. (2014) discovered that students
who were taught by highly effective teachers, as determined by the student growth percentiles
(SGPs) and value-added measures (VAMs), were more likely to enroll in college, earn more, live
in higher-income neighborhoods, save more money for retirement, and have fewer children while
still teenagers. It is crucial that scholars and politicians fully comprehend the aspects that
contribute to a teacher's effectiveness since they have the power to greatly improve the lives of
their pupils. However, studies have revealed conflicting findings on the associations between
particular teacher traits and student accomplishment, as we shall go into more depth later in this
study. (Wayne and Youngs 2003). The three major elements of teacher effectiveness defined and
discussed in the research literature: teacher experience, teacher knowledge, and teacher behavior
are the core topics of this chapter's investigation. Here, we note that although a large portion of
the body of extant research is based on studies from the United States, its application to other
contexts is still debatable.

Teacher Behaviors and Opportunity to Learn

There is a much stronger and more consistent correlation between student achievement and
teacher behaviors greater (instructional time and instructional content), especially behaviors
related to instructional content, even though the effect of the characteristics of teachers
(experience, education, and preparedness to teach) on student outcomes is still up for debate.
When Schmidt et al. (2001) examined the TIMSS data, they discovered a link between student
accomplishment and classroom opportunity to learn (OTL), which they defined as simply
exposing students to the curriculum. Schmidt et al. used PISA student-level data in a later
investigation. (2015) found that there is a strong correlation between OTL and math literacy
across 62 distinct school systems. National politicians have acknowledged the significance of
instructional content, which has inspired standards-based reform to raise student success, such as
the Common Core in the United States. (Common Core Standards Initiative 2018). However,
they discovered that there was no research on whether teacher instructional materials that were in
line with national standards had helped student learning; the sole study that we were able to
locate discovered that such alignment had only extremely modest connections with student
mathematics results. (Polikoff and Porter 2014). According to statistics from students, there is a
connection between mathematical success and instructional time, which is defined as time spent
in a classroom studying a certain topic. (Cattaneo et al. 2016; Jerrim et al. 2017; Lavy 2015;
Rivkin and Schiman 2015; Woessman 2003).

Role of Teachers and Students’ Career Guidance

Youth workforce preparation is under the oversight of secondary education. (National

Education Policy, 2009). It is a phase where pupils choose topic selections that may influence
their future jobs. Student achievement in future occupations and a rich life are made possible by
secondary schools that provide proper career assistance. (Watson, McMahon, Foxcroft&Els,
2010). Making appropriate career and subject decisions based on interest and aptitude is a
significant problem for secondary school pupils. (Issa&Nwalo, 2008). Most high school
graduates don't get excellent career counseling, which has a negative impact on their
performance and makes it difficult for them to land desired jobs or vocations. (Maree, 2009).

Teachers are crucial in helping pupils receive career guidance. (Khan, 2011). Teachers guide
students in selecting academic disciplines that are compatible with their skills and will prepare
them for successful employment in the future. (Falaye& Adams, 2008). Teachers are the main
sources of career guidance, helping students choose their academic specialties and imparting
vocational information, claims Garrahy (2001).

According to Maree and Beck (2004), secondary school students are less likely to succeed in
their planned future jobs if they get little to no career encouragement from teachers. Teachers
influence secondary school students' career selections, according to Elizabeth (2012), by
educating them about available occupations and offering career advice.

Teachers evaluate students' abilities, provide information on the subjects they are learning,
and give them advice on how to advance in their chosen fields. (Kisilu, Kimani & Kombo,
2012). Teachers play a significant role in secondary school pupils' job decisions, claim Foskett et
al. (2008). According to some, instructors mold students' responses and attitudes to prepare them
for their future occupations. Mudhovozi and Chireshe (2012) assert that instructors have a
significant influence on students' job selections due to the career information and academic
guidance they offer.

Kniveton (2004) found that secondary school instructors help students choose a course based
on their capabilities and aspirations by acting as facilitators and role models for them. Secondary
school instructors have an impact on students' perceptions of particular occupations, and students
often choose those career pathways as a result. (Denga, 2004). Teachers in secondary schools act
as mentors. They provide information to pupils about potential vocations, including the entry
requirements and expected work outcomes. (Dondo, 2006).
Parents and Teachers Motivation to Students

According to popular belief, parents and teachers are the ones who have the most impact on
kids. This influence may come from their interactions with one another at home and at school, as
well as from the way they teach and lead the pupils or from their own personal traits. Additional
factors may also have a small but significant impact on a student's motivation and academic
success. Heidemeier et al. (2015) looked at the connection between a person's age and how
driven they are to complete a job. It is claimed that the age-related fall in the significance of
success objectives was made up for by older employees' increased affective commitment and
intrinsic drive. Age was not a factor in determining whether the dominating goals were
learning-approach or learning-avoidance; rather, competence level, emotional commitment, and
genuinely rewarding job were. Males were more likely to have dominant performance-approach
goals. Among older guys, performance-avoidance was most likely to be the dominant aim.
Additionally, as people age, performance-goal orientations have progressively unfavorable
effects on their self-efficacy and affect at work.
METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The Researcher will use a Descriptive Research method to determine the Influence of the
Instructors/Professors to Human Resource Students Career in Cavite State University Silang
Campus S.Y. 2022-2023

Descriptive Research is used to gather information about the demographic profile of the
Human Resources Students Moreover; this research design involves analyzing and collecting
non numerical data.

Source of Data

In this paper, the researchers used two main sources of data in gathering relevant information
in the study. There are Primary sources of data and the secondary sources of data.

The primary data gathered in this study came from participants of the Human Resources
Students of Cavite State University Silang Campus through conducting an interview with them
or by answering a google form.

The secondary data in this study were gathered through the related literature, other studies,
books, articles and as well as websites on the internet that provide a variety of expert
perspectives and credibility to help the researchers gather the significant information they needed
to support their study. And by this secondary data, the researchers gain background information
on this study and it makes it easier to collect a full overview about this topic.

Participants of the Study

The main respondents of this study are the Human Resources Students who are enrolled in
Cavite State University Silang Campus. They will answer survey forms or google form regarding
how Instructors/Professors Influence their career as Human Resources. The researchers chose
their respondents through Simple Random Sampling. The respondents of the study will be
chosen from the 1st Year to 4th Year Students.

All Human Resources Students will be the respondents and needed in this study. They must
be enrolled at Cavite State University Silang Campus.

Sampling Technique

According to Lauren Thomas (2020), a single random sample is a randomly selected subset of
the population. In this sampling process, each member of the population has exactly the same
probability of being picked. Moreover, with a large enough sample size, a simple random sample
has a strong external validity: it reflects the characteristics of the wider population. The
researcher preferred simple random because it's their strategy to gather information from the
respondents.

Data to be Gathered

The followings are the step-by-step procedures that the researchers followed to be able to
gather the information that is needed for this research study. First, the researcher will create a
questionnaire or a Google form. Researchers will look for respondents at Cavite State University
Silang Campus who are enrolled in the course Bachelor of Science in Business Management
major in Human Resources Development Management. Researchers will ask the respondents for
permission and explain the nature of the research and the purpose. After all, the researchers will
start the survey.
