Hints for Column chart:
1. Highlight the data range (A5:B11) 2000
2. Select Insert menu 0
3. From the Charts group select Column or Bar Chart, then select 2-D Column January February
4. While the chart is selected, select the Design option from Chart Tools group
5. From Add Chart Elements group, select Chart Title option then Above Chart option
- Edit the Title text as "Monthly Cost"
6. Again from the Add Chart Elements group, select "Axis Titles"
- Select "Primary Horrizontal Title" option
- Type in "Months" in the text box
- Select "Primary Vertical Axis Title"
- Type in "Cost"
Format the Chart
7. Select the whole Chart by clicking on an empty area within the Chart
8. From the Chart Tools group select Format option
9. From the Shape Styles select the style you would like
10. Now click inside the actual chart to select the Chart area
11. Again select your preferred shape style colour from the styles group

* You also want to place the Legend at the botoom of the chart to allow more room
for the Chart. To do it, select Legend option from Add Chart Elements group.
* You may also want to format the title texts using font/size/colour options from the Home menu.
