The is an

adorable little doll that makes for a

lovely friendship gift, desk accessory, or
décor in the home. This pattern’s base
is highly customizable. Changing the
colors and color variation can create a
completely different look! Some other
ideas to make this doll your own include
embroidering designs on the kimono
dress and sleeves, adding buttons,
attaching beads, and even adding new
hair accessories or bows. It’s a lot of fun,
so let’s begin! Happy crocheting!

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for attaching to head. When stuffing the body,
add some beads/pellets to the bottom to give this top-heavy amigurumi some
weight and stability. Then, stuff the rest of the body with fiberfill stuffing.

Bow
Start with dress lining color (red).
R1: Ch 20, join to first ch with a sl st.
R2-5: Ch 1, sc around. Join with a sl st to first st. (20 sts)
Fasten off with a very long tail. Tightly wrap it multiple times around the middle
of the crocheted rectangle, in order to form the bow shape.
Belt
Start with dress lining color (red).
1. Make a chain that fits snugly around the doll’s
body and body wrap. (That was 32 ch for me)
2. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc across.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for attaching to other
end of belt.

Flower Hair Accessory

Start with flower color (cream).
R1: 5 sc in magic ring. Join with a sl st to the first st.
R2: *Ch 2. In same stitch: dc 2, ch 2 and sl st*, rep 5 times.
Fasten off, leaving a tail for attaching.
Attach plastic safety eyes to the head. Sew the
eyelashes and mouth using thread/yarn and a
needle.

Optional: add blush to doll’s cheeks. (I usually use

actual blush powder and a paintbrush or finger.)

Stuff the hair bun lightly. Carefully position it

onto the hair cap and sew it on. After that, sew
the hair cap onto the head.

Sew the flower securely onto the doll’s hair,

next to her hair bun.

Optional: sew a button or bead into the center of

the flower.

Using black yarn and a yarn needle, sew bangs

onto the head.
If desired, embroider designs or attach beads
to the kimono sleeves and body wrap.

Sew arms into the sleeves (folded in half). Attach dress lining yarn color
(red) at opposite end of sleeve. Sc around the back of the sleeves held
together. Pause when you cross more than halfway around the semi-circle
sleeve… do not fasten off

Continue by sc separate flaps near the arms, and sl st to join.

Finished sleeves!
Sew the body wrap to the body.

Sew the belt to the body. Sew the bow to the

back of the body, over the belt.

Sew the sleeves/arms to the body.

Sew the head to the body.
