Each RJ45 port provides one route for RS485 communication. The default communications rate is 9600
bit/s, and the default unit address is 21. For invalid values or parameters that cannot be read, the air
conditioner reports 0xFF or 0xFFFF by default.
Table 2-2 Common parameters that can be obtained using the protocol
The unit E-label can be read through the protocol (the register address is 0x0400).
Even if parameters No.3 to No.10 (Compressor startup point to Heater hysteresis setting) in the
preceding table are required to be accurate to integers, the uploaded values are still the actual values
multiplied by 10.
For the default values of the parameters, the specification prevails.
The preceding parameters can be set on the host computer through a write multiple-register
command. For an unused address, the air conditioner does not process the address.
The host computer can read the setting values if the parameter addresses are configured.
Table 2-5 Air conditioner startup and shutdown that can be controlled remotely using the protocol
After remote shutdown, the compressor, external fan, and internal fan stop.
After remote startup, the air conditioner implements the preset logic. For example, if the compressor
start temperature is set to 35°C, the compressor starts as soon as the ambient temperature is higher
than 35°C after startup. If the ambient temperature is not higher than 35°C, the compressor remains
stopped.
Table 2-6 Alarm information that can be obtained using the protocol
3 External fan failure 00: normal; 01: alarm; 0xFF: 0x302 1 byte

The host computer can read all the preceding alarms through a multiple-address read command. For an
unused address, the return value can be filled with 0xFFFF.
2.4 Installation
This section describes the structural installation and electrical installation of the PC300D DC
air conditioner. Note the following before installation:
1. Avoid putting a device inside the cabinet in a place that will interfere with the air intake
or exhaust vent of the internal fan.
2. Check the fittings against the fitting list delivered with the air conditioner and prepare
tools.
If professionals are not present to supervise and guide the operation, those who are
physically or psychologically challenged, or lack experience and knowledge are not
allowed to use this product.
Children are forbidden to use this product even under supervision.
All electrical connections must comply with the regulations of the local country and area.
Power off the air conditioner before installation. Choose circuit protection devices and cables
with proper cross-sectional areas based on the information on the air conditioner nameplate
and technical specifications.
If the cooling control point is set to 25°C and the sensitivity is set to 5°C, it indicates that cooling starts
at 26°C and stops at 24°C.
Cooling start point = Compressor startup temperature + Compressor hysteresis x 20%
The air conditioner starts cooling at 25°C by default. If the return air temperature inside the cabinet
is lower than 26°C, the air conditioner cannot start. Heat the indoor circulation air flow using a
heating device such as a hair dryer to a temperature higher than 26°C, and then the air conditioner
can start. During inspection, you do not need to set the air conditioner parameters.
Check whether the air conditioner is cooling properly. After the air conditioner starts cooling, the
internal fan, external fan, and compressor operate properly. There is no abnormal sound. Check the
system current using a clamp meter. Feel the air outlet temperature at the indoor and outdoor sides
by hand. If the air outlet temperature at the indoor side is low and that at the outdoor side is high, the
air conditioner is cooling properly.
Only professionals are allowed to perform maintenance tasks. Before maintenance, power
off the air conditioner and disconnect signal cables. After maintenance, power on the air
conditioner and reconnect signal cables.
After the air conditioner is powered on, it enters the normal operation mode. Check
whether the air conditioner is cooling properly. For details, see section 2.5.3 Cooling
Function Inspection.
If the preceding process is normal, it indicates that the air conditioner is normal. If it is
abnormal, conduct a preliminary check by referring to section 2.1.6 Alarm and
Troubleshooting and section 2.6.6 Common Faults and Troubleshooting.
2.6.3 Tools
For the installation and maintenance of the PC300D, the following table lists recommended
tools, but not all the tools.
Use a high-pressure water gun to clean dust at the air intake vent and air exhaust vent of the
external fan. You do not need to remove the maintenance panel or shell. Maintain the
condenser and condensate drain port of the air conditioner when summer comes. Clean
foreign matter such as floc, sand, and dust.
Do not dispose of the faulty compressor directly and special measures must be taken to dispose of it.
