SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR PRESSURE FILTERS.

1. The pressure filter shall be made up of M.S plate not less than 10mm
thickness in the middle and suitable additional thickness at the ends.

2. The filter shall have automatic back wash arrangement for which no extra
payment shall be .

3. The payment for this item shall be released after successfully Providing,
Installing, testing and commissioning at PWD site of the pressure filter
for a period of atleast one month.

4. The filter shall be able to sustain a inlet pressure of 3.5 kg /cm2.

5. The allied civil works for fixing of the pressure filter shall be executed by
the agency and for which no additional payment will be paid. The
contractor shall submit the entire drawing, for approval of the department
with full details to the Engineer-in-charge before commencement of the
work. Tenders submitted with incomplete details are liable to be rejected.

SPECIAL CONDITION

1. PAYMENT SCHEDULE ON SUPPLY OF PIPES/SPECIALS:

I) The initial payment on PVC/ DI/ HDPE /CI pipes supplied shall be
restricted to 50% of the items as estimated by the department or as quoted
by the contractor , whichever is less.
II) In case of valves/mechanical joints/Collar couplings/pumpsets/motors/ CI
fittings etc supplied the initial payment shall be restricted to only 75% of the
item as by the department or as quoted by the contractor, which ever is less.
The remaining 25% shall be paid only on testing of the pipelines including
that of refilling the excavated trenches properly or installation, testing and
commissioning of pumps/motors, etc as the case may be.
III) Payment of 50% value will be released on supply of PVC/DI/GI/AC/HDPE
pipes and supply of PVC/DI/GI/AC specials at the working site store fully
conforming to the tender specifications further 30% will be released only
after successful execution of laying jointing and by restoring to excavation
of pipes etc and 10% after testing in every stretch of 500 mtrs and 10% after
total pipeline testing

2. EXECUTION OF WORK IN STAGES:


a. The work shall be executed in a phased sequential manner from laying,
jointing and satisfactorily testing for the length of one KM or less in
stages all as directed by the Engineer-in charge. Subsequent alignment
shall not be given unless the previously aligned pipeline is tested as per
CPHEEO manual and conditions of contract.

b. Due care should be taken by the contractor during cutting of roads and
digging trenches along the road side by installing work in progress board,
go slow boards and barricading the same by painting white paint on the
barricades and also by sticking radium tapes so that the motorist and
pedestrians can easily identify the dug up trenches.

c. The materials required for carrying out the works along the road should
not be dumped on the road carpet /side shoulder of the road so as to
obstruct the free flow of traffic along the road. The materials should be
dumped at least 0.5m from edge of the side shoulders and as required
under the site conditions.

d. The Contractor will be fully responsible for any mishaps occurring on the
road due to negligence of contractor by digging trenches, pits, dumping
of materials without taking precaution as mentioned above in Sr. No b &
c of special conditions. The department will not be held responsible in
any way for the mishaps/accidents which occur due to the negligence of
the contractor once the site is handed to the contractor and work is in
progress. Liability if any occurring due to the mishaps/accidents etc will
be fully attributable to the agency.

Arrangement of water for testing as required shall be the responsibility of the


contractor.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF TENDER

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

1. (a) The contractor shall have to give bank gurantee for Rupees one lakh only
in addition to security deposit before starting the construction of RCC
reservoir. The bank Gurantee shall be discharges after successful water
tightness test of the reservoir, cost of which will be borne by the contractor
2. Hydraulic testing shall be carried out by the contractor with contractor’s water
for every 500 mtrs. Stretches or part thereof as per site conditions. Payment for
laying pipe line for next stretch shall be released as per the condition above
only after previous stretch in hydraulic tested.
3. The value of the rigid PVC pipes CI/GI/AC/DI pressure pipes and specials
referred above shall be minimum of the rates worked out with reference to the
tendered rate of scheduled items invoice price based on supplier’s bill of cost to
be produced by the tender or GSR supply rate which ever is lower.
4. The contractor should indicate at the time of submission of his tender the brand
name of following materials to be supplied as per the tender

Amendments

Amendments to CPWD form 8.ANNEXURE-B

Para 1 under CLAUSE 1 on page 6: The person (S) whose tender may be
accepted (hereinafter called “the Contractor”) shall permit Government at the
time of making any payment to him of work done and measured under the
contract to deduct such sum, at the rate of 5% of the gross amount of the bill
from each running bill of the contractor till the sum along with the sumalready
deposited as earnest money, will amount to Security Deposit of 5% of the
tendered value of the work. Unless he/they has/have deposited the full amount
toSecurity Deposit in cash or in the form of Govt. Securities on fixed Deposit
Receipts or Guarantee Bonds of any Scheduled Bank of the State Bank of India.
In case of fixed deposit receipt of any Bank goes into liquidation or for any
reason or for any person is unable to make payment againstthe said fixed
Deposit receipt, the loss caused thereby shall fallon the contractor and the
contractor shall forthwith on demand furnish additional security to the
Government to make good the deficit.

In addition, the contractor shall deposit an amount equal to 5% of the


tendered value of the contract as Performance Guarantee within the period
prescribed for commencement of work in the award issued to him.

Directions.

Security Deposit shall be recovered at the rate of 5 percent of the Tendered


value of work.

A sum @ 5% of the gross amount of the bill shall be deducted from each
running bill of the contractor till the sum along with the sum already deposited
as earnest money, will amount to security Deposit of 5% of the tendered value
of work. In addition, the contractor shall be required to deposit an amount equal
to 5% of the tendered value of the contract as Performance Guarantee within the
period prescribed for commencement of work in the letter of award issued to
him. The Security Deposit will also be accepted in cash or in the form of
Government securities and fixed Deposit Receipts and Guarantee bonds of
Scheduled Bankand State Bank of India.

The contractor whose tender is accepted (unless exempted will be required to


furnish by way of Security Deposit for the fulfilment of the Contract such as will
amount.

A sum @ 5% of the gross amount of the bill shall be deducted from each

as earnest money, will amount to Security Deposit of 5% of the tendered value
of the work. In addition, the contractor shall be required to deposit an amount
equal to 5% of the tenderedvalue of the contract as Performance Guarantee

award issued to him. The Security amount will also be accepted in cash or in
shape of Government Securities. Fixed Deposit Receipt and Guarantee Bonds of
Scheduled Bank and State Bank of India will also be accepted for the purpose
provided confirmatory advise is forthcoming from the Reserve Bank of India.
