The Occasion

September 11th, 2001… A day forever remembered as one of the most tragic days/events

in American history, however, was it actually? Or were the events on this date an inside job

formulated and covered up by the United States government? Were the vicious attacks that took

place on 9/11/2001 an outside attempt by foreign leaders to weaken a powerhouse country? Was

the US government in complete disarray and disbelief over the attacks or was this a carefully

executed plan to ensure the government maintained absolute control without fear of backlash from

its people? Was the United States genuinely unprepared for a foreign attack on US soil?

The September 11th attacks, otherwise known as the 9/11 attacks, included several different

events that took place in 2001. 19 militants that were associated with the Islamic extremist group

known as al-Qaeda, carried out a series of airline hijackings along with suicide attacks on US soil.

The attacks were located in both New York City and Washington, DC, subsequentially causing

mass hysteria due to the prime locations of the attacks along with the high death toll of almost

3,000 lives being claimed, shocking the nation. The attacks were planned by Osama bin Laden,

the leader of al-Qaeda, who had very strong beliefs about the United States leading up to the attacks.

It was believed that the leader held opinions on the United States being a weak nation and that his

organization was perfectly capable of making the global reach and becoming a known powerhouse.

The plot set in place included: meetings being held in Malaysia, individuals taking flight lessons

in the US, money flowing from Dubai, plan development/coordination in Germany, along with

recruitment of suicide operatives from all over the Middle East. The development of this attack

was overseen by the leader himself, Bin Laden, in Afghanistan. On 9/11/2001, the attackers

boarded 4 domestic airlines where they hijacked the planes and took control. The first plane,

American Airlines flight 11, was flown into the North tower of the World Trade Center in New

York City at 8:46 am. The second plane, United Airlines flight 175, hit the South tower 17 minutes

later. Following both hits, the structures were damaged severely and ultimately burst into flames

with unknowing civilians inside. The third plane, American Airlines flight 77, hit the southwest

side of the Pentagon at 9:37 am. The fourth plane, United Airlines flight 93, crashed in Shanksville,

Pennsylvania due to the passengers attempting to overpower the hijackers following

communication of the recent attacks in NYC and DC. Both towers, North and South,

subsequentially collapsed around 10 am, also damaging surrounding buildings. Immediate rescue

teams were assembled, and the operations were enacted to preserve/save those they could. Over

2,750 people in New York, 184 at the Pentagon, 40 in Pennsylvania, and all 19 terrorists died in

the 9/11 attacks, including civilians and rescuers such as police officers and firefighters attempting

to rescue people from the buildings (2010).

Two decades have passed yet 9/11/2001 is a day that has gone down in the history books

as the most tragic event in US history. Following the tragedy, a multitude of theories arose over

the validity of the events and those supposedly behind the planned attacks. The effects of this day

were ones that carried global weight and impacted a nation within minutes, even carrying weight

over 20 years later. How was such a powerful nation caught so off guard and impacted in such a

drastic way with absolutely no warning/knowledge or intel on what was to come? This exact

question is where the conspiracy theories develop their basis. Theories have developed regarding

the US governments’ involvement in the September 11th attacks. It is speculated that the United

States government played a hand in the attack against its own nation. Other speculations include

that the Bush administration was well aware of the possible planned attacks and put in no effort to

enforce them not being carried out.

The day never to be forgotten, September 11th, 2001, is a day which gave off a multitude

of emotions to a nation, from grief to confusion/frustration, to anger. From that day on, the rumors

quickly arose with one simple word at its core… How? How was this event possible? How was

this attack able to be carried out “successfully” with no knowledge? How did a typical day become

the deadliest foreign attack on United States soil? Theories were developed to answer these

questions by those looking for answers. The ones looking for answers feel as if they are asking the

questions to those who may have potentially been involved in the attack itself. The truth may

simply be that it was an unforeseeable tragedy, or the truth may be blurred when it comes to the

extent of the United States involvement in the events.

This study will examine the work of three particular researchers which have devoted

countless and relentless hours to uncovering the “truth” and exposing the government’s

involvement in potentially shielding the truth from its own citizens. Paul Craig Roberts from the

Global Research website, YouTube documentary series The 9/11 Events Coincidences, and

Professor of Philosophy at Claremont University/renowned author, David Ray Griffin, provide

research collected in the aftermath of 9/11/2001 in an attempt to explain the “how” this incident

was able to take place. The researchers use different available resources to provide explanations

and question the validity of the answers provided by the United States government. In a 16-part

series, evidence was provided regarding the details of the attacks such as scientific evidence to

support theories that 9/11 was ultimately not what met the eye, but quite possibly a coverup and

distraction to the people of the United States.

Paul Craig Roberts paves the way with the statement of how the US government’s

explanation detailing the events of and leading up to 9/11 simply did not provide ease to the

questions of the people. Roberts explains how Americans are being shielded from the truth by the

official 9/11 explanation/statement, due to the inconsistency of “expert knowledge such as: physics,

chemistry, structural engineering/damage, fires, architecture, piloting airplanes, US security,

NORAD capabilities, air traffic control, airport security, and more, simply not coinciding or

supporting the simplistic explanation provided by the United States government of there being no

knowledge of the possible incident and that it was ultimately all responsible by al-Qaeda (2010).

Many witness and expert accounts of the incident- who include fire crew, officers, rescue

team, reporters, etc.- reported that explosions had gone off inside the towers (heard and seen) prior

to the collapse. Controlled demolition experts concluded the collapses of the buildings bear a

remarkable resemblance to that of a controlled, demolition, and the uncanny coincidence of all

buildings ultimate demise was relatively cloned. Roberts ponders the question of how it was

remotely possible for all three buildings in the World Trade Center attacks to fall in a similar

manner, even though building number 3 was not even hit by a plane. Instead, all three buildings

collapsed in a symmetrical manner almost identically. Following the attacks and rescue attempts 6

weeks post 9/11, liquified steel was located under the remainder of the buildings still at

temperatures of over 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. Expert analysis claims that it is almost impossible

for jet fuel to reach that temperature. The steel beams located in the remains of the three buildings

were also cut diagonally in the same way that expert architects and demolition supervisors agree

that coincides with cutting beams in order to bring a building straight down. Reports also indicated

that sulfur residue was found on the steel, which subsequentially is used to produce fast results and

high temperatures, especially regarding large structural demolition. Witness accounts place red-

hot molten steel on the windows of the lower levels of the towers prior to their collapse. Three

buildings-- one end result… The 9/11 series ties in the melting point of the steel along with the

possible maximum temperatures for jet fuel to reach as well as the controlled precise cutting of the
9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORY ANALYSIS 6

structures to ultimately raise doubt over the validity of how eerily similar the downfall of the three

buildings coincide with a demolition rather than a supposedly formulated terrorist attack (Almeida,

2022).

The series continues to raise questions such as how the most guarded building that

contained CCTV cameras that essentially covered every square inch of the building, was unable

to provide/release image or video evidence regarding the Flight 77 plan either approaching or

crashing into the Pentagon on 9/11/2001. The alleged terrorist intent was to maximize damage

however, experts claim that the size of Flight 77 and the extent of the damage to the Pentagon do

not coincide. It was documented as the damage being far too small for a plane the size and caliber

of Flight 77. The plane managed to hit the only area in the Pentagon that had been recently

reinforced—yet contained information and employees that investigate circumstances such as the

disappearance of over a trillion dollars from the United States economy. In an interview with the

flight instructor of the alleged hijackers, the instructor insinuated that the hijackers were unable to

properly fly small aircrafts, so he is unsure as to how they were able to carry out the required

difficult maneuvers such as the 360-degree maneuver and the ability to fly the large plane of Flight

77 only feet from the ground as it approached the Pentagon. Again, although heavily secured, no

video or picture evidence has been provided to substantiate that the plane hit the Pentagon.

In an attempt to provide a foundation in the reasoning behind the events that transpired on

9/11, the series backtracks to the year 2000. A “project for the New American century” was laid

out by individuals who (post 9/11) held connections to George W. Bush and his administration.

This project was set in place to lead the United States to global domination, however, its ultimate

downfall according to both the creators and researchers, was the ability to gain public support. The

project would require “a long process unless a catastrophic event such as Pearl Harbor” were to

bring the public together in a manner that would support their agenda. As the series continues, it

goes on to call into question a major factor which some such as Professor David Griffin, believe

place implications on the Bush Administration, and that factor was the defensive drills run by the

US Defense Agencies. On the morning of 9/11/2001, over 15 drills were run including pre-planned

simulations that included terrorist attacks involving the crashing of planes into the World Trade

Center as well as the Pentagon. This was explained by the Bush Administration as being a “bizarre

coincidence” and ultimately not reported by the media. The 9/11 Series reports that the drills

could’ve possibly been “blueprints” to the attacks by individuals within the US government due

to the eerie similarities in the attacks to the simulations carried out on the very morning of 9/11.

Further examination by the series continues to call into question the schematics behind the

third skyscraper’s demise, building 7, that was according to the 9/11 Commission report, not even

included. The fries that came to be in the World Trade Center building 7 were miniscule in

comparison to the other two buildings as well as very few. The fires reported were not evenly

distributed according to experts, yet the building was still able to rapidly collapse in 6 seconds,

down in perfect symmetry identical to towers 1 and 2. Reports indicated that World Trade Center

leaseholder, Larry Silverstein, set up insurance policies on the complex just weeks prior to 9/1,

specifically policies which covered terrorist attacks (9/11 Events). Billions were profited by

Silverstein following the insurance claim on the buildings by Silverstein Properties following the

incident. This called into question behind the possible motives behind the demise of the buildings

and how buildings of this caliber could have possibly collapsed perfectly all while molten steel

was found in the debris. Silverstein made the statement to the fire commander at the time, “the

smartest thing to do is pull it”, soon after, it was reported that the firefighters retreated from the

area due to the buildings clear collapse was forthcoming (Griffin, 2009). The team withdrew due

to the building about to “blow up” although it only contained random small fires. Soon following

their withdrawal, the building crumbled in a perfect symmetry consistent to that of a demolition.

With the coincidence of a significant monetary gain and explanation of thermite being identified

as the culprit of the World Trade Center collapse by Professor/physicist Steven Jones of Brigham

Young University, the series persists on providing doubt to the answers given by the United States

government explaining the 9/11 attacks. One key statement by Jones was that thermite was a

“clever” choice mainly due to the inability to trace its ingredients to the manufacturers because as

it turns out, it was not required by law to provide identifying tags since it only contained aluminum

and iron oxide. What are the odds?

Furthermore, the “official truth” or explanation given by the US government entailed that

a handful of individuals were able to outwit not only the CIA and FBI, but over 16 different US

intelligence agencies and allies in the events of 9/11/2001. Paul Craig Roberts even goes as far as

providing key evidence in the relationship between George Bush and his family to Bin Laden and

his family. From the funds obtained from the Bin Laden family to finance Bush Jr.’s early failed

businesses, up to the fact that Osama Bin Laden also worked with the CIA under the codename

Tim Osman since the 1970s. The CIA provided funds for the beginning operations for Bin Laden.

The series continues as it is calls into question the detail entailing the Bin Laden and Bush families’

close personal ties, especially since in fact, they had been business partners for over 3 decades.

Professor David Ray Griffin raises the primary question as to why a majority of these matters were

hardly reported in the mainstream media in order to put to different controversy regarding the 9/11

attacks to bed once and for all.

While September 11th, 2001 is a day that will forever be remembered, people today are still

looking for answers to how such a horrendous incident could’ve possibly taken place, especially

on United States soil, without the government having any knowledge regarding the matter.

The Five Canons

Invention:

Ethos 1: In his 9/11 Conspiracy Theory research, professor of philosophy and renowned

author, David Ray Griffin, vividly made his case after being convinced by research that the

attacks on United States soil on 9/11/2001 must have had some compliancy from individuals

within the United States government.

Rationale: Griffin has conducted research in many respected and well-known universities

such as Cambridge University and Berkeley. David Griffin also founded the research center of

the Claremont school of theology in 1973, the very school he was a professor at until retirement.

This provides the author with an extensive credible and reliable background as a source on

historical subjects, especially given the numerous publications and books accredited to the

author, David Ray Griffin.

Ethos 2: Within the 9/11 several part series, the creator/author provides several different

first-hand accounts and interviews, often with pictures or videos that substantiated the first-hand

statements being presented. An example of this would be the interview with professor/physicist

Steven Jones of Brigham Young University and his expertise on physics along with other
9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORY ANALYSIS 10

credentials including his PHD from Vanderbilt and post-doctoral research conducted at Cornell

University.

Rationale: In order to authenticate and reinforce the theories presented in the 9/11 series,

the author provided credible sources in which they received information/research from,

especially widely known and accredited in their area of expertise such as Steven Jones and his

November 2005 appearance on The Alex Jones Show where Steven Jones stated that the probable

cause of the implosion of the buildings was the presence of thermite, not the previous

explanation of it being white phosphorus, by the initial explanation given by the US government

in the report by the commission. Jones was also quoted saying “with almost no fire, even one

ignited by jet fuel, can cause structural steel to fail, the combination of thermite and sulfur slices

through steel like a hot knife slices through butter”. The inclusion of the expert’s knowledge

provides a high level of credibility to the series’ points (Griffin, 2009).

Pathos 1: If the 9/11 series was solely an individual stating their opinion over a topic, it

would be easily and quickly dismissible as an intended argument and would be deemed as boring

to the audience, however, the inclusion of clips of the 9/11 attacks and attention to the detailing

of the pictures were presented to keep the audience engaged and intrigued. The visuals presented

provided support to the author’s points. Examples include the photos released by the Pentagon.

Rationale: The creator/author provided photos that substantiated the claim that no photos

were presented or released by the government that visually supported the claim that the Pentagon

was in fact hit by the plane, in pictures of video. None of the evidence provided the audience of

clear and concise proof of the supposed plane hitting the Pentagon, keeping the audience attentive

as well as slightly confused. This sense of confusion keeps the audience maintaining a questioning

sense of emotion throughout this portion of the series. The author was able to instill doubt in the

mind of the audience with the visuals supporting their claims (9/11 Events).

Pathos 2: The 9/11 series touched base on an array of emotion, however a reoccurring and

overwhelming feeling intended to be felt by the audience was certainly the sense of betrayal and

distrust. Throughout the series, the creator provides ample evidence from first-hand accounts and

reasonable doubt about the government’s claim that they had absolutely no knowledge of the

events of the 9/11 attacks prior to the tragedy.

Rationale: Evidence presented in the series including a report from The Washington Post

that provided supporting evidence that the FBI specifically had evidence and were aware that

terrorists were in all actuality, using flight schools. Two of the 19 terrorists were already on the

FBI’s most wanted list as well. These key points contradict the direct claim by the government

where they denied any prior knowledge on the matter. Other accounts that provided the audience

with the feeling oof betrayal and distrust regarding the US government include the terrorist attack

simulations. That were enacted the morning of 9/11/2001, which was almost a blueprint to the later

attacks. With no explanation from the government besides it falling under “coincidence”, the

audience can’t help but feel a sense of distrust in the government and ponder on the feeling of

betrayal by the events of 9/11 possibly being more than what meets the eye. This sense of doubt

and strong emotion of distrust was initiated by the facts presented by the author.

Logos 1: Paul Craig Roberts inclusively ties logos all within his research to provide the

audience with a balance of emotion and ability to tie in logical thinking to be able to ultimately

come up with their own personal opinion on the conspiracy theory of the 9/11 attacks and whether

or not the truth is simply the answer given by the Bush administration.

Rationale: Roberts provides an exact list of reasoning/statistics that contradict statements

made by the United States government, rather than overwhelming the audience with a rant of his

own personal opinions on the matter; this allows the audience to establish their own conclusion

based on both the ideas conveyed by the author and statistics provided.

Logos 2: Photos and visual evidence/videos. In the 9/11 series, a variety of visuals of the

events that transpired on 9/11/2001 were presented by the author, such as the comparison of the

fall of the 3 towers at different times. The South tower, North tower, and building 7 were all

presented as they fell. This allowed the audience to observe and draw their own connection to the

similarities and differences between the 3, although all had different levels of damage & different

points of impact/no initial impact.

Rationale: By presenting the video evidence of the 3 towers ultimate downfall, the author

allows the audience to make the connection of how eerily similar they went down, leading the

audience to also use reason to rationalize how this was possible, while including statements from

experts to reinforce the video evidence presented.

External/Inartistic 1: In June of 2001, American businessman Larry Silverstein signed a

99-year lease on the World Trade center, only 2 months prior to the tragic events of 9/11/2001.

Shortly after, just weeks before the attacks, an insurance policy was put in place which covered

“terrorism coverage”.

Rationale: Following 9/11, Silverstein took his insurance company to court under the idea

that due to two different attacks, there should be double the payout on his buildings. The courts

ruled on the side of Silverstein, and he was ultimately awarded a payout of 4.55 billion dollars

because of the attacks (Emery, 2016).

External/Inartistic 2: On the morning of 9/11, the US Defense agencies “coincidentally”

ran over a dozen simulations under a program named “Able Danger,” which was reported in the

series and stated by several different experts on the topic.

Rationale: The “Able Danger” program used military resources to practice supposed

attacks involving plane crashes into prime locations. On 9/11/2001, the practice drills/simulations

were completed a total of 15 times, right before a nearly identical attack took place on US soil, on

the same exact locations simulated in the drills, the World Trade Center and Pentagon. (9/11

Events)

Organization:

The 9/11 series was dividing into 16 parts all highlighting a specific topic pertaining to the

events leading up to the attacks along with evidence supporting the topics. It fell in chronological

order from the buildup to the attack, to the aftermath research and opinions. There were flashbacks

that were used to convey specific points such as inserting clips of the evidence used to support

their theory.

The articles by Paul Craig Roberts and David Ray Griffin’s structure were similar in. the

organization method used to convey the information on hand. They opened with introductions of
9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORY ANALYSIS 14

themselves to provide credibility to their work, then followed with chronological explanations and

somewhat of a hybrid topical discussion about topics which they felt more deeply about.

Style:

The 9/11 series narrator’s tone and language directly corresponds to the opinions he holds

towards the Conspiracy Theory of the 9/11 events. Throughout the series, the word choice used by

the author emphasized his lack of belief in the US government’s explanation to how such an event

could’ve occurred right on American soil with no knowledge. Words/phrases that strongly

highlighted this statement that were repetitively used in the series include: common sense, kook,

improbable, dismissal of evidence, impermissible, despite factual evidence, etc. This was a

different style than Paul Craig Roberts who ultimately used a high level of sarcastic tone and

exaggerated techniques to assert his point. Roberts promptly states: “The story that the government

and the media have told us amounts to a gigantic conspiracy, really a script for a James Bond film.

Yet, anyone who doubts this improbable conspiracy theory is defined into irrelevance by the

obedient media.

- Anyone who believes an architect, structural engineer, or demolition expert who says that

the videos show that the buildings are blowing up, not falling down

- Anyone who believes a Ph.D. physicist who says that the official explanation is

inconsistent with known laws of physics

- Anyone who believes expert pilots who testify that non-pilots or poorly-qualified pilots

cannot fly airplanes in such maneuvers

- Anyone who believes the 100 or more first responders who testify that they not only heard

explosions in the towers but personally experienced explosions

- Anyone who believes University of Copenhagen nano-chemist Niels Harrit who reports

finding unreacted nano-thermite in dust samples from the WTC towers

- Anyone who is convinced by experts instead of by propaganda,

...is dismissed as a kook.” The tone of sarcasm allows the audience to feel the frustration on the

part of the author and the level of emotion that is used in a not so positive manner. The article by

David Ray Griffin was eloquently written with the use of sophisticated language and supportive

diction to every key point that was placed in the article. He speaks of the immense research he has

conducted and allows his education to be put on display to further enhance his viewpoint on the

topic and providing supporting evidence to his opinion in an organized manner for the audience to

follow his point such as: “Building 7 of the World Trade Center” – continued on next page…

“For my final illustration of this point, I will discuss the collapse of Building 7 of the World Trade

Center.

- The Truth Movement has long considered this collapse the official conspiracy theory’s

Achilles’ Heel - its most vulnerable element - for several reasons:

- Building 7 was not hit by a plane

- it had fires on only a few floors

- it came straight down in virtual free fall, looking every bit like the kind of controlled

demolition known as implosion, in which the building folds in on itself and ends up as a

rather compact debris pile” (Roberts, 2011).

Delivery:

All three delivery methods from the three sources present information in a clear and concise

technique that makes it easy to follow by the audience and all provide supporting evidence to

match their main claims of the conspiracies on hand. They reinforce their assertions with visual

evidence such as photos and videos in correlation to the topic being discussed. The formatting of

the websites are easily followed. For example, the 16-part series was broken down in sections and

every key point was made a part in its own with its supporting evidence following to provide

backup to the statements being asserted by the speaker. The articles followed a very similar

organized delivery method of meticulously organized and broken-down simplistic notions to allow

the audience to follow the points the author was making, in the manner similar to a guided map.

Memory:

The authors all depict a high level of knowledge on the material presented simply because

they were all able to not only discuss what they thought but educate the audience on the

information they have learned along their research path. Their conducted interviews or interviews

used as supporting evidence all were explained by the authors in much more simple language

intended for a wider variety of audience, also supporting their level of mastery on the topics. This

conspiracy theory ultimately has the potential to withstand the test of time and be remembered by

our culture, especially since the day went down in American history as being the deadliest attack

on US soil, which killed thousands of civilians. The vicious nature of the attack makes it hard to

forget along with the fact that is actually memorialized in our history books as well. It carries a

heavy weight on the country’s past along with the sense of pride in one’s country that was felt so

strongly after. The patriotic tendencies and pride grew to an all-time high follow the unexpected

events of September 11th, 2001.

Assessment

1.) The three speakers were able to accomplish their goal of providing supporting

evidence to corroborate their individual theories on the conspiracies behind the September 11th,

2001 attacks. Their goals to provide factual evidence on their findings in order to defend their

arguments by using examples, video/photo evidence, scientific findings, interviews, etc. all were

resources that assisted in the speakers’ goals being met and their key points being delivered to

the audience in a manner that was understood and accepted.

2.) There was a particular reason that I chose to research this particular conspiracy theory

and ultimately it was due to the personal connection that I feel as if I somewhat have with this

heinous day in United States history. This date is pertinent to me specifically due to this was the

exact date and timing that I was being born. I was born on September 11th, 2001 in Greensboro,

North Carolina, while the twin towers were being attacked and falling to their demise. The

connection does not simply stem from the date, but the experiences associated with the date all

throughout my lifetime and the impact it still holds on me today.

Growing up in an Islamic household and having your birthday fall on 9/11 is not

particularly ideal. My family didn’t think anything of it until one year, there was an incident

where people genuinely were under the impression that my family was celebrating 9/11s’ tragic

events, not my birthday. My family had no understanding as to what had happened the rapid

decline in our family business until it was brought to our attention that a particular rumor was

circulating across town and that was on my birthday… we were celebrating the tragic events and

deaths that took place on 9/11/2001. This took a toll on our family business, and it was assumed

that since we were Muslim, that HAD to be the only reason to celebrate that day (never mind the

happy birthday Omar decorations). It took years for us to build up the business again to its peak

and to prove ourselves to the very individuals who we have known and grown up around. The

fact that of the matter was that people knew my family very well and knew that we were not

capable of such a despicable horror, but the overwhelming fear and uncertainty got the best of

people’s judgment. I grew up in a very rural town with a small population and word of mouth

spread quicker than a forest fire accelerated with gasoline and that was apparent following the

only birthday that I held on the actual date of my birth. Every year since that year, my family

and I have opted not to celebrate my day of birth on my actual birthday, but I celebrate my

birthday on 9/29, with my father, subsequentially in response to the unintended consequences of

the past situation. We do this in order to avoid all conflicts associated with the date and to respect

those who lost their lives on the very day that I was born. The September 11th attacks mainstream

media presented a very negative connotation of Muslims being solely to blame for this

horrendous day in history and I was very interested to research if there were any other groups

who could possibly share some of the blame. The media created a sense of mass islamophobia

for me and my family in the years following 9/11. The picture that was painted was that Muslims

were responsible for this despicable act instead of just a select few out of millions across the

world. The day-to-day interactions with people could not include any conversation on religion

for years due to fear of judgment. Following the research on the topic, I came to the realization

that I believe that it was not only a select handful of Islamic individuals that were responsible for

that day, but ultimately a much larger power who put that group in play to begin with when

funding was provided to them decades ago. I’m not 100 percent sure who is to blame and how

much blame is to be put on them, but I do feel as if there is more to 9/11/2001 than what meets

the eye. It just seems to me as too large of a job to be carried out under the noses of the most

powerful government and intelligence agencies in the world.

3.) The implications that fall with this conspiracy theory could be somewhat damaging to

the overall history of the United States government depending on which theory falls to be true. If

it is true that the government had knowledge of the attacks or assisted in any manner/played a

part in the deaths of American citizens, it is a possibility of a complete distrust in the government

as we know it from its citizens. It would put into question all statements/assertions made by the

government and could potentially lead to dangerous conflicts in the future such as revolts, etc. If

the theories are simply not true, then it really does not change what has gone down in history

books, only the opinions and expert statements that have been made on the matter. There haven’t

necessarily been repercussions due to the theories to date, but who is to say that there isn’t still

potential for new evidence to be brought to light. The question stands of how this was able to

play out with absolutely no knowledge by the government or was it an inside job? The answers

are still unclear, but in my personal opinion, I fall under the umbrella of a very inconclusive and

unsettled answer of uncertainty. Following the research completed on this conspiracy theory and

my own personal experiences, I can only make assumptions as to what I believe to be true.
