Complete the following making sure to support your ideas and cite from the textbook and other
course materials per APA guidelines. After the peer review, you have a chance to update this and
format for your Electronic Portfolio due in Module 6.

1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.

The situation that I brought up in Module 1 and about how Ticketmaster handled the
presale for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. I took on the role of a customer in this scenario who
was trying to get a presale code to buy a ticket for the concert.

2) Describe how the symbols of the organization influenced the situation.

This situation reminds me of Chapter 14 and how an organization can be viewed as a

Theater. Taylor Swift has a huge following and she means a lot to her fans and even some
of them view her as a hero. This is why we can also say that Ticketmaster meant
something to the fans too because they are giving them a chance to see their idol in
concert. How their symbols influenced this situation was like how it was mentioned in
chapter 14 about how “the audience waited for an actor who arrived too late and then
muffed his lines.” That is what happened: the Ticketmaster dropped the ball and didn’t
provide the service that the fans were hoping for.

3) Recommend how you would use organizational symbols for an alternative course of
action regarding your case.

Since Ticketmaster sells a lot of tickets to many events they can be viewed as a hero by
many people. They just need to change the way that they sell their tickets by first making
them more affordable and creating a system that allows real fans to buy tickets and not
resellers. From what I recall with Taylor Swift's last tour the tickets went a lot smoother
than this one and her fans were able to get tickets at a reasonable price.

4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.

 After learning about this frame If I were Ticketmaster what I would have to take into
consideration is how our organization is viewed by the public and make sure that I live up
to their standard and the role that they see me as. Which I think is possible especially
when you have the right team..
