How to study Financial Reporting?

1. Practice all the questions in writing.

2. Question solving format should be according to ICAI.

3. Prepare summary notes for AS & IND-AS.

4. Starmark the adjustments.

5. If there is any adjustment, note it down in a rough notebook and then

incorporate it while making the summary notes.

6. It is advisable to cover the ICAI study material, RTP, MTP, Past exam
questions and Practice manual.

7. You may refer to the solution initially but you should try not to do the
same afterwards as it might affect your preparation if you always choose
to see the solution and then solve.

8. If there is a tricky adjustment, note it down first so that it does not

consume your time at the time of revision.

9. Try to focus on concepts rather than the number of questions.

10. The students need not concentrate on why a formula has been applied,
i.e. step or computation. Merely knowing the logic behind a computation
and then not being able to actually calculate it will not help in passing the
exam.
