Earth’s Revolution
The sun is very far away. As the earth travels around the sun, it keeps the same distance away from
the sun. Earth’s movement around the Sun is called revolution. It rotates on its axis and, at the same time,
revolves around the sun.
The Earth follows a definite path called orbit. It does not leave the orbit because of gravity.
The Earth completes it travel around the sun in 12 months or one year. One year has 365 ¼ days.
