razz: to make fun of

sap: a fool, an idiot. Very common term in the 20s.

sitting pretty: in a prime position
skirt: a female
speakeasy: a bar selling illegal liquor
spill: to talk
swanky: (1) good (2) elegant
swell: (1) good (2) high class
