The first thing I did in this step was blending the layers on the armor.
For that, I painted with just the tip of my Winsor&Newton series 7
size 1 brush. I painted tiny stripes with the brighter mixture over the Vallejo: Blue
darker area next to it. You can see this process in each of my video Grey Pale
tutorials.
I also used dilluted black paint to make the hammer a bit darker.
The hammer and other metal elements at his belt are now highli- Vallejo:
ghted with pure Blue Grey Pale color. Because the whole miniature Black
is very dark, I don’t need to use brighter colors on steel NMM.

Now I blended the layers of grey color on the robe and darker colors
on golden details. Just like before, I painted tiny stripes of brighter
colors over the darker layer. Vallejo:
I also marked the places where the red light should be reflected in a Neutral Grey
stronger, brighter and more saturated way with white paint.
As you can see, one of these places is the chain, which I previously
painted with Black Grey paint. Vallejo: Blue
Grey Pale
I also highlighted the skull on the hammer using Neutral Grey and
Blue Grey pale. That was very hard, because this skull is super tiny
and it was hard to focus my eyes on it.

Now I prepared a few new edges with white paint and I painted with
yellow the ones that were previously white.
I also finally started working on the red light.
In this step I took Vermilion and painted tiny dots and stripes around
the brightest areas until they blended in with the brightest ones. For
that I mostly used Winsor&Newton series 7 size 2 paintbrush. It
worked much quicker than the brush size 1.
On my patreon you can find video tutorials where I present how I
paint and blend red colors. It can be useful for the painter to better
understand how red colors blend together.
The last thing I did was finally blending the bright reflections on the
golden knee armor with the Ochre Brown layers on its sides.

As you can see, now I painted the previously yellow areas with Ver-
milion and prepared new areas for the highlights. Remember that if
you dillute vermilion and gently glaze the yellow areas, you will be
able to achieve the brightest and most saturated red ever.
Other than that, I worked a bit with Base Red paint in order to make
few red areas a bit darker and to create smoother transitions be-
tween the shadows and red light. After that I used 1st Shadow and
then a mix of 1st Shadow and black in order to create the final tran-
sition between the red light and deep shadows.
As you can see, I also made the space between the golden reflec-
tions on the bottom part darker using the same dark red mixture of
1st Shadow and black.

Now I highlighted the chain with Blue Grey Pale and painted the
green edges of the armor with mixture no 1.
Other than that, I made the final step in blending red light with the Vallejo: Flat
green armor. Earth
In order to do that, I highly dilluted Military Green and gently glazed
the spaces where red color meets green armor.

I also blended Ochre Brown on the bottom parts of the leg armor 80% + Vermi-
using Flat Earth and a mix of Flat Brown and Vermilion. lion 20%

And here are two bigger photos from a different eagle in order to show you more details.

At this point, I can see that I will have to repaint the ornaments on the bottom parts of
the armor, because this color doesn’t work for me.
I think the steel will look much better.
But I’m happy with the rest and I hope you like it too.
Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
