• Targets set by GOI for 2030.
• Carbon Intensity Reduction by 2030.
• Huge GDP growth expected in next 7-8 years.
• 85% dependence on Imported Crude needs to be reduced significantly by 2030 or
at least a direction / firm foundation should be led for the same.
• Per Capita Energy Consumption is at 1200 Units. USA is at 11,000 Units plus.
• Energy Needs of the Country in 2035 – 2040 considering a size of $ 10 Trillion
Economy.
• Energy Transition Investment needs of $ 10 Trillion.
• World Energy Transition requirements of $ 200 Trillion Average over next 30
years.

COP 26 Declarations:
India's Stand at COP-26

• The Government of India has articulated and put across the concerns of developing countries at
the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Further, India
presented the following five nectar elements (Panchamrit) of India’s climate action:
1. Reach 500 GW Non-fossil energy capacity by 2030.
2. 50 per cent of its energy requirements from renewable energy by 2030.
3. Reduction of total projected carbon emissions by one billion tonnes from now to 2030.
4. Reduction of the carbon intensity of the economy by 45 per cent by 2030, over 2005 levels.
5. Achieving the target of net zero emissions by 2070.

• Will this make the solution affordable ?
• Will it appeal to masses and make it affordable for them ?
• What level of utilization it will become affordable ?

• GST collections have reached significant levels.
• Income Tax Paying population has crossed 6 Cr in number.
• GST Collection, Income Tax Collection looking at the Economy size of $ 10
Trillion in 2030-32 needs to be forecasted to look at the size of the
incentives.
