Habitat
Komodo dragons only live on the island of Komodo, in Indonesia. Their habitat is
very hot most of the year. Is the biggest lizard in the world.
It is oviparous, when it is born it climbs a tree and remains there for the next two
years. He eats ants, spiders, cicadas, termites, small mammals and other lizards.
When they are adults, they can measure up to 3 meters long and weigh more than
90 kilos.
Their body is covered with thick and hard scales, they have wide and powerful
strong jaws in the mouth they have 60 saw-shaped teeth, their saliva is very
infectious almost poisonous, their prey dies quickly when infected. They eat
carrion, deer and lizards, they are great hunters since they can detect their prey
from 10 kilometers away, thanks to their forked tongue. They can eat 80% of their
weight in one sitting.
They are cold blooded; their body temperature will change depending on the
temperature around them.
Currently there are only 4000 in the world and they are in danger of extinction, we
must take care of them since they are important for the balance of the
environment.

These giant lizards are fast, venomous, and dangerous, but also surprisingly
playful.
