I’m going to need oxygen, radiation shielding, a pressure vessel, need water, and
food.

2. Compare Mars to Earth list all the positives and negatives of each and any
similarities.

Pros-glaciers on Mars are able to be used as a water source.

Cons-glaciers on Mars are more dangerous.

3. Decide where you will live on Mars using a Mars map and to show where your
base will be?--I will make my base near the Olympus Mons so I can get a reusable
water source.

1. Brainstorm in your group all of the things you will need to have in your base in
order for you to survive and thrive!--In my base I’ll need to find a good place to
gather resources or a place to build inside of a sand mound to be safe from sand
storms. In the base I’ll need departments for each utility like waste, control,

2. Choose your power source - this is crucial!!! Will it be nuclear?

My power source will be from cycles upon cycles of the wheels of the metro at the
base to make electricity for everything else. Another source is from the trees and
plants of the base.

4. Will your base connect to other bases?-Yes it will be connected to other bases
5. What will you do with your waste? Design a system to handle all of your waste

It will be used for fertilisation for the nature and the urine will be reused as water.
