SCHOOL MUSICAL - Wanted – students to get on stage in this year’s musical – Little Shop of
Horrors. We have the leads, now we need the extras – you need to be prepared to sing and act
just a little bit. No experience is necessary, just some enthusiasm. See Ms Dryden or Mr Harington
asap. The Synopsis - Meek flower shop assistant Seymour (Harvey Rawlings) pines for co-worker
Audrey (Chloe Grey). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant (Nikhil Rawat) which
feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts great business for the
previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey's boyfriend (Declan Viljoen) to the plant
after his accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty
plant.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE - The Defensive Driving Course which commences on the 27th
February is now full. However, we have one more course available which will run from the 28th
March – 6th April 2023. I have sought permission, this time, that anyone holding a learners licence
can attend. In other words, you do not have to have held your learners for at least three
months. While I am continuing to look for options that may enable us to keep this course running
for King’s High School, we need to be prepared that the March course may well be our last. A
reminder that the March course will be held on 4 afternoons (Tuesday’s and Thursday’s) over a
two-week period, from the 28th March – 6th April 2023 from 3.15 to 5.15pm at King’s High School
in Room 28. Cost is $70. Please contact Mrs Elder (pathways@kingshigh.school.nz) to register
your interest. This is a first in first served, basis with a maximum of 20 students. NB: You must
have your learners’ licence.
