Dream is Water, Stability is the River

Humans and dreams have the most intimate connection, not because dreams
come mostly at night but because a one's life revolves around their dream. But
dreams and the practical world goes together like oil and water. And with the current
situation of our world right now, a young fellow aspiring to have a million before or in
his 20s might be impossible. But the Business Opportunity Forum made me realize
there is so much more a single person can do for themselves despite the situation
they are in.
The most memorable quote from the forum was by Brian Holz. It says that,
"Don't just look at where the actions of the ball are but where it is going to be, where
it is headed." I think it is refreshing to find quotes that suggest a perspective in
making better life decisions not just focused on a single point of time, not just present
nor future, but both of the same time - to watch where's the ball and where it is
heading. A young person like me, approaching adulthood have always been taught
to be aware of the future or live in the present when one should do both of these
things at the same time.
Like anything else in this world, dreams require financial resources. It’s a give
and take world after all. But in a way I sensed a repeating pattern on how to be
financially stable. First, establish financial goals, in this case these are our dreams.
Cars, house, jewelry, or whatever it is, we first hand have to measure what we’re
trying to achieve. From there we create a budget and track expenses from the
essentials to disposable income. Then one should always avoid debts and if it’s
inevitable, prioritize paying these debts. And potentially the most important is invest
for the future albeit slowly and hard to run in the beginning, it is the most rewarding
in the future. From what I can remember, I think it was heavily noted in the forum that
financial stability can help achieve dreams.
Dreams depends on us. It is our inhibitions and our will to live. Likewise, we
depend on financial stability. And it makes things easier to categorize financial
stability to be also a dream. Although only conceptually, its effects are as tangible as
anything we can think of. Everybody should pursue their dreams as it our main
benefactor in living, the same way that plants need light. As beings with complex
minds in intricate situations, I realized that to achieve a fulfilling life, one should be
active, passionate but with genuine compassion and curiosity to learn more on
making things easier.
