UTILIZATION OF PINEAPPLE EXTRACT AS AN ORGANIC STAIN REMOVAL

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

The problem of using harsh chemical on clothes and other garments has become a

major environmental issue in recent years because the harsh chemical that we all used

is toxic to earth. With chemical pollution affecting our environment and human health.

Despite increased awareness and efforts to chemical use, the amount of chemical

production continues to increase. The current methods for managing chemical uses,

such as using an organic substitute, Pineapple extract with Sodium bicarbonate. There

is a need for more sustainable and effective solutions to manage chemical uses and

reduce their impact on the environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate the

potential of using biodegradable, eco-friendly and good for all sensitive skin as an

alternative to the traditional use of harsh chemical products and to assess their

possibility and impact on our planet.

How does it help to remove the stain?

Can we be sure if it is effective?

Hypothesis: Pineapple juice can be transformed into a cleaning agent that can

effectively clean and remove the stains on clothes. This hypothesis will be tested by
extracting the pineapple juice by squeezing it, such as the addition of sodium

bicarbonate. The effectiveness of this cleaning agent will be evaluated through a series

of tests, including cleaning tests on various clothes with different kinds of stains. A

comparison will be made between the extracted pineapple juice that will turn into a

cleaning agent and a commercially available cleaning agent that removes Stains to

determine the relative effectiveness of the pineapple cleaning agent. If pineapple extract

and sodium bicarbonate were effective against rust, mud, and deodorant. Then the

effect of it in the fabric was noticeable if it spread in different stains in the fabrics .If the

hypothesis is supported, this research could lead to the development of a natural,

environmentally friendly cleaning agent product that can be used for cleaning clothes

with stains. Additionally, this study could help promote the use of natural, plant-based

products for household cleaning purposes, reducing the reliance on harsh chemicals

and improving overall environmental health.
