A 40 Hours Basic PCO Training was
conducted on December 05-09 at
Motorpool Building, Barangay Cawongan,
Padre Garcia, Batangas. The trainer is a
duly recognized PCO Training
Organization of Environmental
Management Bureau (EMB-DENR) with
Certificate of Recognition COR No.
2022- 14-R.
EARTH HOUR
The local government of the Town
of Padre Garcia, led by the Good
Mother and Servant of the Town,
Mayor Celsa B.Rivera together
with the Sangguniang Bayan led
by Vice Mayor Micko Angelo B.
Rivera, the Barangay Head led by
ABC Nonato Gonzales , as well
as Mr. Rouel C. Kasilag of
MENRO Padre Garcia formally
invites ALL Garcianos to be
united in the EARTH HOUR 2023
held on March 25, 2023, Saturday
by turning off or "switch-off" the
lights in our homes and
establishments from 8:30 to 9:30
pm (8:30 PM - 9:30 PM)
TREE
PLANTING ACTIVITY
The Municipal Environment and Natural
Resources Office of Padre Garcia joined
the Tree Planting Activity of the
Philippine Councilors' League (PCL) -
Batangas Province spearheaded by Bokal
Melvin Vergara Vidal, PCL Batangas
Province President in partnership with
the Philippine Wildlife Sentinel (PWS) 1422
battalion and Barangay Bawi Barangay
Captain, Hon. Andy Villanueva last
November 6, 2022 and Bawi Eco Trail.
ENVIRONMENTAL The conducted forum is pursuant
to Municipal Ordinance No 09-2012
MANAGEMENT Section 30 G, "All owners /
FORUM operators who will secure Mayor's
Permit shall first undergo an
Environmental Management
System Orientation to be
conducted by MENRO".

The forum was attended by

barangay eco leaders, owners,
managers, pollution control officers
of poultry farms, piggery farms,
gasoline stations, rice mills, feed
mills, junk shops, batching plants
and manufacturing industries.

ARBOR DAY
In line with the celebration of Arbor Day that was
institutionalized annually every 25th of June, through
Proclamation No. 643 amending Proclamation No. 396 s.
2003, a tree planting activity was conducted earlier,
June 25, 2022, at Barangay Cawongan, Padre Garcia,
Batangas; with a theme: “Trees are Terrific…for Today
and Tomorrow”.

The planting activity was led by Hon. Celsa Braga Rivera

together with the Municipal Councilors, BFP and PNP
Staff, Department Heads and Employees of LGU Padre
Garcia.
