First ever "Gawad Kalikasan" recognizing the initiatives, programs and

projects, compliance submittals and achievements of our stakeholders for the proper
environmental management of the City. The first ever delivery of the Mayor about
State of the Environment of Makati. A landmark speech activity attended by the
Mayor, city councilors, city officials, barangays, privated sectors, ngo's including the
national governmental organizations.

In celebration of the Philippine Environment Month, the city government of

Makati features the “Gawad Kalikasan 2023” to give honor to different sectors for
their unique contribution in preserving our environment.

The City Government of Makati through the Department of Environmental

Services launched the 1st Gawad Kalikasan Event aligned with the Philippine
Environmental Month. This event aims to recognize the efforts of the city's partners
and barangays toward sustainable development, promote ecological balance, and a
safe and sound environment.

In celebrating the Philippine Environment Month, City Government of Makati

in collaboration of Department of Environmental Services, the launch of "Search for
Most Clean & Green Government Offices". And this GAWAD KALIKASAN 2023,
recognized the contributions & efforts of Barangays, Department Heads/Offices,
Private Sectors, NGA/NGO's/CSO's/PO's & Individual Citizens for the Outstanding
Commitment & Dedication in the Preservation & Conservation of the City's
Environment & Natural Resources.

Gawad ng Kalikasan 2023 at Makati City Session Hall. It was facilitated by the
Department of Environmental Services. The said event aims to recognized the
contributions and efforts of Barangays, Departments/Offices, Private Sectors,
GA/NGO/CSOs/Pos, and individual citizens for their outstanding commitment and
dedication in the preservation and conservation of the City's environment and
natural resources.
