    Conclusion

    Overall there are many choice that Padini can opt in order to take a step closer towards fulfilling

    its mission and vision. However for the time being, it should be focusing more towards

    maintaining its position in the market of Malaysia and as previously stated the best strategy that

    could be used to maintain or even further strengthen position in the market is by acquiring the

    local brand of Aere. Not only acquiring the local brand further strengthen its foothold, it would

    also provide Padini with another platform to implement a different pricing strategy. While

    currently Padini’s products are of hight quality, they are sold at a low price in order to attract

    customers. When Padini acquires Aere, it could use Aere as the strategic business unit that may

    establish price skimming in order to set a standard in the market and in the minds of its

    consumers.
