Table of Contents
Viewpoint
This section of the paper should state the perspective from which the case is being examined.
It may be a person or a group of individual, preferably within the organization, and answers the
question – Who are you in the case? It should also show a brief explanation of the basis for
your perspective.
Time Context
This section of the paper should tell us when the problem was observed. A brief statement that
identifies when the case happened? Time context is essential in identifying feasible solutions
that is fit with the current trend.
Case Facts
In this section, this information shall be the basis of case analysis. The most important facts
about the case should be highlighted in relation to OB concepts, theories, and principles
learned. The case facts should be in outline form. (A brief narration of the business overview
should be included as an introduction.)
Problem Statement
This section describes the key issue(s) or challenges facing the organization which are found in
the case. A root cause analysis model will be used to verify the real problem of the case. One
main problem should be stated which focuses on related human and organizational behavior.
The problem must be in statement or question form. Sub-problems may be stated aligned with
the main issue.
Remember, there is a difference between what an organization "should do" and what that
organization actually "can do". Some solutions are too expensive or operationally difficult to

implement, and you should avoid solutions that are beyond the organization's resources.
Identify the constraints that will limit the solutions available. Is each alternative executable
given these constraints?
Evaluate each alternative using the facts and issues you identified earlier, given the conditions
and information available. Identify the costs and benefits of each alternative. Ask yourself
"what would be the likely outcome of this course of action? State the risks as well as the
rewards associated with each course of action. Is your recommendation feasible from a
technical, operational, and financial standpoint? Be sure to state any assumptions on which you
have based your decision. (Source http://wps.prenhall.com/bp_laudon_essbus)
The proposed alternatives should be at least two options/courses of action which provides
solution to the key issues/challenges and fulfills the objectives.
Recommendation
This section determines the chosen alternative course of action. An organizational behavior-
related theory, model or concept must support the chosen alternative course of action. A brief
discussion should be presented as basis for recommendation.
