The Creative Part

Interview:
1. "What inspired you to become a writer and create the TV show, Breaking Bad?"
Vince Gilligan: "I've always loved writing and storytelling, and I've been a huge fan
of TV shows since I was a kid. When I was younger, I used to create my own fake
TV shows and write scripts for them just for fun. Eventually, I decided to pursue
writing as a career and ended up creating Breaking Bad."

2. "What was your favorite part about writing and producing Breaking Bad?"
Vince Gilligan: "I loved the process of developing the characters and storylines for
the show. It was also very rewarding to see the finished product on screen and to
see how much the show resonated with audiences."

3. "How do you come up with ideas for your TV shows and movies?"
Vince Gilligan: "I get ideas from all sorts of places - my own life experiences, news
stories, conversations with friends, and so on. I'm always looking for interesting
and unique ideas to explore in my work."

4. "What advice do you have for aspiring writers who want to create their own TV
shows?"
Vince Gilligan: "First and foremost, just keep writing! Practice makes perfect, and
the more you write, the better you'll become. It's also important to read a lot and
watch a lot of TV shows and movies to get a sense of what works and what
doesn't. And don't be afraid to take risks and try new things - that's how you'll
find your voice as a writer."
5. “You’ve won numerous awards for your work, including Emmys for Outstanding
Drama Series for both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. How does it feel to be
recognized in this way?”
Vince Gilligan: It's a huge honor to be recognized by your peers and awarded for
your work. It's definitely one of the highlights of my career.

6. "Do you have any plans to work on a new TV show or movie in the future?"
Vince Gilligan: "I'm always working on new ideas and projects, so I definitely have
plans for the future. I can't say too much about what those plans are at the
moment, but I'm excited about what's to come."

7. "How do you balance the demands of being a writer and producer with your
personal life?"
Vince Gilligan: "It can be challenging at times, but I try to make sure that I set
aside time for myself and for my personal life. It's important to take breaks and to
not get too caught up in work, otherwise it can start to feel overwhelming."

8. "What do you think sets your TV shows and movies apart from others in the
industry?"
Vince Gilligan: "I try to approach my work with a sense of authenticity and
realism, and I think that's something that sets my work apart. I also try to tell
stories that are meaningful and that have something to say about the world we
live in."

9. "What do you hope audiences take away from your work?"

enjoyment from my work, but I also hope that they come away thinking about the
themes and ideas that my stories explore. I want my work to make people think
and feel."

Vince Gilligan: "One of the biggest challenges has been juggling the demands of
writing and producing a TV show or movie. There are so many different moving
parts and a lot of different people involved, and it can be difficult to keep
everything running smoothly. But it's a challenge that I enjoy and one that I'm
always learning from."
