OUT OF THE RUBBLE

"Out of the rubble" is a novel published in 2015 and written by Sally Nichols. It
combines themes such as war, family or friendship and is set in London, during and
after the Second World War.

The novel tells the story of Judy. A war evacuee who returns home when the war is
almost over. She has spent 5 years in Somerset with Poll and Betty, who have cared for
her like family. Her mother is waiting for her in London to resume her normal life. She
will meet Alan who will become a new friend, he also likes spending time in the ruins.

Personally, what I liked the most is that we can perceive how the characters always feel
and get to know them more thoroughly, even though the novel is short.

It is a novel that I would recommend to everyone since it is easy to read and captivates
you from the beginning to the end. If you like tragic and emotional novels, you can't
miss it!!!
