What is fake news?

Have you ever experienced receiving fake news? Or sometimes did you ever
think about the ideas and information that your friend told you is true? Or maybe it’s not.
In today’s era of “fake news” Some of us are having difficulties to trust one another
because they have what we called trust issues, maybe they encounter a traumatic event
where the ones who they trust the most is being untruthful to him/her and it caused an
accident or issues that leads into trauma. I’ve heard a lot about this where the issues
continuously spreading because of the fake news. Let me give you an example, when I
was still a child my mother have a jewelries that she always kept in our cabinet. One
day my mothers jewelries goes missing, she suspected my uncle quickly because my
uncle is inside our house that day. Other family members suspected my uncle too
because my mother told them the story. Later on, the jewelries found out because my
little sister saw the friend of my father goes inside our house and steal those jewelries.
My mother feel bad for suspecting my uncle. See? That’s the one of the reason why we
should not believe quickly until we didn’t know the behind of the story. Nowadays, social
media takes a big part of it. It becomes a platform where we can spread false
information quickly by posting through social media like Facebook, Instagram, twitter,
etc. In todays era social media become one of us. We are being updated what’s
happening throughout the country not just for national but also international. So social
media becomes the one of the platform that several people use for them to received a
latest news. Several people can access and post through social media so we are not
100 percent sure about those information that we gained so it is better for us to know
the importance of the different types of information so we can avoid spreading fake
news.
