Currently mandatory volunteering is included in my high school to promote

students to be caring and caring learners. In the community service program,
we have to dedicate at least five hours of time per month, our actions would be
beneficial in our application for future jobs and guide our career path. We can
choose the activity and organization that interests us and enjoy doing it.
Although many claim that compulsory volunteering can have negative
consequences on adolescents, there are several reasons that show that it
increases our social skills. I agree with volunteering but not the fact that it's
mandatory but with the fact that students have to do it after school. With
volunteering, students will realize what life is like and will be able to contribute
to the community or society in which they are and will improve their
communication because most students spend more hours talking on the phone
than establishing a face-to-face conversation or rather in person. They also
learn how to follow social relationships and how to build relationships and
accept people for who they are. Community service is essential for college
admission, as it says a lot about us. It even helps about what career we want to
study in the future and it develops different new skills in our personal life. After
that, the lesson we've had in our career path, we can use our high school years
to explore different career opportunities as a volunteer in other countries.
Volunteering helps our confidence and maturity. The volunteer experience
manages to help us have a lot of confidence since volunteer work brings us
happiness and peace of mind. In addition, we work in groups and with different
types of people, we make new friends with the same purposes and we explore
new cultures. As a high school student, I really enjoy volunteering because it
helped me improve my social skills such as empathy and being able to
communicate effectively. I am finally grateful to be part of the community
service, since I was able to learn empathy towards other people and guide my
professional career.
