1. Is Jonathan accountable for what he did to his brother? Yes or No? justify your answer.
- NO. Jonathan is not accountable for what he did to his brother while the former was having a dreadful
dream. The punching was not voluntary. He was in a dream state, Jonathan could not have decided and
willed not to punch Cain. Jonathan could be having a sleep behavior disorder which internally compels him
to physically lash out or attack persons in the vicinity.

2. Is the action of Jonathan considered human acts or acts of man?

- Jonathan's act is properly characterized as acts of man. Because acts of man happened during unconscious
and instinctive moments of a person. Acts which are beyond the control of humans and those which they
share in common with animals. Acts of man are involuntary to which no moral responsibility attaches. On
the other hand, "human acts" are those that are voluntary in character i.e. acts in some way under the
control or direction of the will, which are proper to man. Considering that the Jonathan's act is involuntary
as it was made without his full consciousness and knowledge, the same is considered acts of man.
