Hey Tanmay!!!!!!!!!!!

Learning any new language is an enriching experience. When you learn a new language, you learn about
its culture, people and country.

Learning any language requires perseverance. You need to be determined to study it and don’t be
discouraged if you come across something difficult.

Here is a list of sites you can use to learn Japanese (these are the ones I found that helped me learn
Japanese easily)

1) http://ankisrs.net/
Anki has a flash card system where there are pre-existing deck of cards. You have to answer the
cards correctly. Use anki according to http://www.textfugu.com/season-1/hard-way/
Textfugu teaches you the basics of Japanese language. It is very useful to give you a head start
and understanding when to use the three different writing modes in Japanese language.
2) To learn hiragana
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zfBMDNkJuI&list=PLA7DB863D6946E1CD
This is a Youtube video which shows you how to write the hiragana and katakana letters.
Practice them repeatedly to remember them.
3) Genki
Use Genki only AFTER you have finished learning from textfugu, hiragana and katakana letters.
Genki focuses on kanji letters and application of the hiragana and katakana letters into words
and their meanings along with grammar learning techniques.

In textfugu, only the first season is available online for free. Use genki only after learning from textfugu
because genki does not have a detailed version of hiragana letters. See the youtube videos if you have
doubts on how to write the letters. Do everything textfugu and genki says.

Hope you have a happy time learning Japanese.
