 Introduction
This system is implemented by getting
the scanned results from fingerprint
by using Arduino module and the
validating of those information to get
accurate details of the student
attendance.

An implementing the web based

system which includes the attendance
status, date, time and other conditions
of every student who attend the class.

It paves to check each of students’

attendance percentage individually
and will notify him with warning

Is there any ways to take attendance without cheating?
Do we need files with attendance sheets ?
How can we restore when attendance sheets get lost or
manipulated?
How can save valuable time?
Do students know their current attendance percentage ?
Is there any chance to analyze student performance based on
attendance?

 Problem
Statement
The manual procedure of attendance system has many
limitations such as it increases the paperwork, lecturer
should maintain attendance sheets and feed attendance
details to database or Excel sheet. Calculating and
retrieving attendance for each student can be done
using software tools or database management system
after manually entering the details of attendance.

In most cases students are unable to sit for the final

exam by the cause of less 80% attendance as they don’t
have any source to get their attendance percentage
until the department notify it before start of the end
semester exam.

Students can imitate their absent friend signature in

attendance sheets. These fraud signatures make more
difficulty in finding out absent students and initiate
security problems.

uses JAVA to implement the front-end and
has connectivity with MySQL.

database, object oriented and networking
techniques. 
 Procedu
re
Portable fingerprint scanner will be made by
Arduino UNO and Fingerprint sensor. ESP826
Wi-Fi module will be used to provide internet
access to the device. All these components will
be integrated by Arduino (C++) code and AT
commands.

Students need to register (store) their

fingerprints with Portable fingerprint scanner.
Internet
Each fingerprint has a unique id (number).
When a student put his/her finger on device, if
the fingerprint match with stored fingerprint
then finger id will be sent to web application
via internet.

Web application has a database with finger ids,

student’s registration numbers, names and
timetable. Web application will process
received finger id from device and mark
