2022-2023 UNDER FUND CENTRE LQ4508-DIVISIONAL ADMINISTRATION.

The Finance Department vide its letter dated 10.02.2023 has desired first statement of
excesses & surrenders in respect of utilities and POL Charges only by 17.02.2023. The said reference in
this branch, received on 16.02.2023 and as such the instructions communicated to the formations i.e.,
Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners etc. vide this office letter dated 16.02.2023. The said letter was
also circulated by the Officers through WhatsApp. Accordingly, the statements from the Commissioners
in the Punjab have also been received through WhatsApp except Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Divisions.

The office of Commissioner Lahore Division, Lahore has already sent his 1 st Statement to
excess & surrenders which forwarded to the Finance Department. Similarly, the demands of the office of
Commissioners Gujranwala and Rawalpindi have also earlier forwarded to the Finance Department.

The Statements received from the Commissioners have been compiled/consolidated in

one form at controlling level on the spread sheet. The figures of offices of Commissioners Rawalpindi,
Gujranwala and Lahore have however been included in the statement at controlling level LQ4508.

All the formations have demanded excess funds and no one has offered
surrender/saving. The excesses are demanded due to increase of the prices of POL & Utilities and
insufficient allocations during the Current Financial Year 2022-2023.
