The Faith of Jesus

Story: Jesus Calms the Storm - Mark 4:35 - 41 NKJV

Memory Verse: Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be
still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are
you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” Mark 4:39 - 40 NKJV

What is Faith ?
Faith is trusting in the word of God

1. Jesus slept - Jesus rested in the word that He spoke

● Faith rests on the word
● God works when we rest
● Farmer sows the seed goes to rest and watches it grow in faith
● Faith works best when you rest
● Adam slept and God worked

2. Jesus was not surprised - The storm did not shock Him
● Father said we will go to other side but not about the storm
● Sometimes you don't have all the details
● If you don't have the details it means it won't destroy you
● Faith chooses to trust God when you don't know the details

3. Jesus spoke - He did not speak about the storm but spoke against the storm
● You can either speak to the storm or sleep through the storm
● You can speak and change things
