In the foreseeable future, our nation will be significantly impacted by resource

constraints and climate change. Philippines being the third-most climate-vulnerable country
in the world, as determined by the 2017 World Risk Report, is currently dealing with a wide
range of climate change-related problems. The production of our agricultural goods on land
and in water has decreased due to changes in rainfall patterns and the severity of natural
disasters. This will simply exacerbate the already serious issue with the availability of food
and other resources for human consumption. Additionally, rising demand for commodities
that are in short supply can result in price increases and inflation, a global issue that affects all
countries because of the rapid occurrence of climate change. What's worse is that the poor,
who are the most vulnerable in the world, are disproportionately affected by climate change.
Rural areas are home to about three out of four poor people. Their survival depends on the
availability of natural resources, where issues like scarcity of food and water and increased
competition for those resources might be life or death.

The effects of population increase, poverty, and fast urbanization are made worse by
climate change. Without significant adaptation, climate change is expected to trap millions of
people in poverty and reduce chances for sustainable growth and poverty eradication. Losses
to our economy are inevitable as a result of this.

The security of our nation will also be negatively impacted by this, since hunger and
poverty will only encourage people to take extreme measures to survive. It goes without
saying that this will add to the government's responsibilities and challenges, particularly for
the police department. In addition, the rise in crime as a result of inflation would scare away
potential investors, sending the jobless rate over the roof and ultimately bringing our
economy to its knees.

How to lessen if not totally eradicate this problem is for our country to invest on
renewable energy and switching from the production of coal, oil, and natural gas to renewable
energy sources, as well as through electrifying the transportation sector. We must make greater
investments in renewable energy technology, which capture energy produced by renewable
resources like wind and sunlight and serve as low-emission replacements for fossil fuels.

The government has already acted to address this issue, and many private sectors are
collaborating with the government to do this. We can say, however, that we are a long way
from finding a solution given the extreme heat wave we are currently experiencing. Therefore,
a forceful remedy must be strictly implemented by the government. A solution that demands
participation from everyone. Every Filipino family's home might be the starting point for this.
Most likely, you should begin by rigorously enforcing the routine act of proper garbage disposal.

Moreover, the government must keep educating its populace about how global
warming affects our climate. And how we can help with this growing problem. Because at the
end of the day, we will always be the ones suffering from the consequences of this worldwide
catastrophe. Everyone is the solution.
