OPENING

The COVID-19 epidemic increased consumer demand, which led to a huge surge in
the flour market in 2020. In contrast to a growth rate of 2.2% in 2019, Euromonitor
International forecasts that the global sales of the flour business climbed by 2.7% in
2020.

Prior to that, however, in 2018 and 2019, the flour industry experienced significant
challenges due to a number of causes, such as excess production, sluggish economic
development, and decreased consumer demand. Because many customers have
switched to consuming alternative grains like rice, wheat, or gluten-free grains, flour
consumption in Europe has dramatically decreased in recent years.

The consumption demand for flour and related goods including bread, pastries, and
quick noodles has increased as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The flour sector
will see a big boost in sales in 2020 as a result of many consumers looking for ways to
bake and cook at home.

To meet the rising demand of the market, flour production enterprises all over the
world have adapted and boosted production. However, in other nations, like India,
transportation and production restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have
made it difficult to produce flour.

As an intern at Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Company Limited, I had the opportunity to gain
valuable insights into the company's operations and development. Throughout my
internship, I observed that the company has been growing rapidly in recent years, but
there are still areas that need improvement. Therefore, I have chosen the topic of

Company Limited" for my final report.
By conducting an evaluation of the company's development, I aim to identify the key
factors that have contributed to the company's success, as well as the challenges that
the company is facing in terms of growth and expansion. Additionally, I hope to
propose effective solutions to address these challenges and help the company continue
to develop and thrive in the competitive flour industry in Vietnam.
Overall, I believe that this topic is important as it will provide insights into the
company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, which will be useful for
the company's management team to make informed decisions and chart the course for
the company's future growth and success.

2.1 Business performance results of Nguyen Ngoc Thuy One Member Limited
Liability Company during the period of 2018-2020.
Business performance results of Nguyen Ngoc Thuy One Member Limited Liability
Company during the period of 2018-2020: Nguyen Ngoc Thuy One Member Limited
Liability Company, with nearly 10 years of experience in the wheat flour distribution
industry, is currently operating strongly. Through the continuous development results
report of 2018, as we entered 2019, we stepped into the global COVID-19 pandemic
that changed lives all over the world. The COVID-19 epidemic has affected the global
economy, not only in Vietnam but also in other countries, and the wheat flour industry
has been interrupted by:

 Supply chain disruption: Due to social distancing and lockdown orders, many
wheat flour factories had to temporarily halt production or reduce production
scale, leading to supply chain disruptions. This can lead to raw material
shortages and an increase in wheat flour product prices.

 Market growth of wheat flour: Meanwhile, consumers tend to buy more dry
stored for longer periods during difficult times, leading to market growth for
wheat flour.

 Changes in consumption habits: COVID-19 has changed the consumption


habits of consumers, with many people trying to cook at home rather than
eating out. This has led to an increase in demand for wheat flour and wheat
flour products.

 Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Nguyen Ngoc Thuy One
Member Limited Liability Company has continued to operate strongly.
However, it is important to note that the pandemic has had an impact on the
wheat flour industry and supply chain, which may have affected the company's
operations to some extent. More detailed information on the financial
performance of the company during this period would be required for a more

The year-end inventory level reached 623,353,277 VND, which was decreased by
more than half compared to the beginning of the year (1,245,569,353 VND). This may
indicate that the company has strengthened its management and more effectively
consumed goods in 2018. The after-tax profit in 2018 was 5,234,006 VND, which
doubled compared to the previous year (393,126,414 VND). This indicates that the

company had a better business plan and achieved better business results in 2018. Net
sales and services revenue:

 2017: 9,835,716,250 VND

 2018: 7,359,310,275 VND

 We can see that the company's net sales revenue decreased in 2018 compared to
the previous year. This could be due to various factors such as lower selling
prices, decreased product sales, or reduced customer demand.

Gross profit from sales and services:

 2017: 217,699,872 VND

 2018: 1,309,722,898 VND

 We can see that the company's gross profit increased significantly in 2018
compared to 2017. This could be due to the company increasing its selling
prices or reducing production costs. However, it's important to note that gross
profit is just a basic indicator and doesn't reflect the detailed financial situation
of the company.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many businesses globally in 2019, and it seems
that the business in this example has also been affected by this epidemic. Based on the
provided figures, we can analyze and comment as follows: The end-of-year inventory
in 2019 was 2,385,680,437 VND, an increase of about 3.8 times compared to the
beginning of the year (623,353,277 VND). This shows that the business has faced
difficulties in selling goods and services this year. Revenue from sales and services in

2019 was 8,286,362,000 VND, an increase of about 12.6% compared to 2018


(7,359,310,275 VND). This may indicate that, although the COVID-19 pandemic has
affected business activities, the company is still able to increase revenue by seeking
new customers or expanding the market. Gross profit from sales and services in 2019
was 1,311,906,963 VND, slightly higher than in 2018 (1,309,722,898 VND). This
shows that the company has maintained its competitiveness in terms of price or
optimized production costs. Net profit from business operations in 2019 was
97,783,008 VND, about 3 times higher than in 2018 (32,552,866 VND). This may
indicate that the company has found ways to reduce costs and increase productivity to
ensure maximum profits. Overall, the business has gone through a challenging year in
the COVID-19 pandemic. However, thanks to the ability to find new customers,
compete on price, and optimize production costs, the business has still been able to
optimize its performance.

In 2020, it continued to be a challenging year for many businesses worldwide as the


COVID-19 pandemic still remained complex. Data provided showed that businesses
continued to be impacted by the pandemic. Below is a detailed analysis and comments
on the provided figures:
The inventory at the end of 2020 was 2,303,558,153 Vietnamese Dong, higher than the
beginning of the year's level of 513,165,190 Vietnamese Dong. This indicates that

businesses still faced difficulties in product consumption and service supply due to the
pandemic's impact.
The net revenue from sales and service provision in 2020 was 7,247,846,500
Vietnamese Dong, lower than the 2019 level of 8,286,362,000 Vietnamese Dong. This
shows that businesses have not fully recovered from the pandemic's impactThe gross
profit from sales and service provision in 2020 was 1,024,911,887 Vietnamese Dong,
lower than the 2019 level of 1,311,906,963 Vietnamese Dong. This indicates that
businesses continued to face difficulties in cutting costs and optimizing business
operations.
The net profit from business operations in 2020 was 195,480,020 Vietnamese Dong,
significantly higher than the 2019 level of 97,783,008 Vietnamese Dong. This may be
a result of businesses finding ways to cut costs and optimize business operations to
cope with the pandemic's difficulties.
Overall, the data shows that businesses still face many difficulties in recovering their
business operations from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the efforts
to cut costs and optimize business operations have helped the businesses.

The net profit of Nguyen Ngoc Thuy One Member Limited Liability Company in 2019
was 13,687,194 VND compared to 103,211,110 VND in 2020. In the context of the
COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have faced difficulties and losses due to
decreased sales and other barriers in production and business. However, some
businesses have grown in this pandemic, especially those specializing in distributing
essential goods for consumers. From 2019 to 2020, the net profit of Nguyen Ngoc
