o To increase awareness among adolescent girls on Menstrual Hygiene

o To increase access to and use of high quality sanitary napkins to adolescent girls in rural areas.

o To ensure safe disposal of Sanitary Napkins in an environmentally friendly manner.

Training and habit formation to use sanitary napkins and maintain hygiene during periods. Ensure
that the girl child does not miss school which results in reduction in absenteeism.

3. Why pads need to be disposed properly

Used sanitary napkins that have not been disposed off properly sometimes block the drainage
system. Burning plastic sanitary napkins causes harmful toxins to be released into the
atmosphere, and is therefore not an environment-friendly solution to the problem.

maintain strict hand-washing with soap practices before and after changing sanitary products.
