RECOGNIZING SPIRITUAL

PROMPTINGS AND

ACTING
ON THEM
Strive to live worthy of the Spirit.
And ye are to be taught from on
high. Sanctify yourselves and ye
shall be endowed with power,
that ye may give even as I have
spoken.

What can we do to be more
worthy of the spirit?
When you reach up for the Lord’s power in your life
with the same intensity that a drowning person has
when grasping and gasping for air, power from Jesus
Christ will be yours. When the Savior knows you truly
want to reach up to Him—when He can feel that the
greatest desire of your heart is to draw His power into
your life—you will be led by the Holy Ghost to know
exactly what you should do.
When you spiritually stretch beyond anything you have
ever done before, then His power will flow into you.

"The Spirit speaks words that we feel.
These feelings are gentle, a nudge to
act, to do something, to say
something, to respond in a certain way.
If we are casual or complacent in our
worship, drawn off and desensitized by
worldly pursuits, we find ourselves
diminished in our ability to feel."
Elder Ronald A. Rasband

2. Look at it with an eternal perspective.
3. Think objectively and logically.
4. Learn from the experience, successes,
and failures of others.
5. Council with others.
6. Involve the lord and pray for guidance
7. Simply decide and hope you did the right thing
"Prayer is the key that unlocks
every door of difficulty. But a key is
not to be used only once a day; it
is to be used every time you come
to a locked door"
