[picks up phone]

Doctor 1- “what’s up poe?”

[no reply]

[heavy sigh]

Doctor 1- “he probably just sat on the call button again”

[goes to poe’s room]

Doctor 1- “knock, knock. Poe?”

[knocks on door and opens to see poe lying on floor]

[gasps and scream]

Doctor 1- “code blue!”

[alarms go off and doctor 2 runs into scene]

Doctor 1- “poe! Poe!”

[tries lifting poe off the floor]

[doctor runs into room screaming louder and bends down to sit next to poe]

Doctor 2- “poe!”

[while checking hand]

Doctor 1- “no pulse!”

[while shaking poe]

Doctor 2- “oh my god, okay. Stay with me poe, stay with me”

[while panicking and huffing]

Doctor 2- “hes not breathing, he’s not breathing”

Doctor 1- “come on, you can do it. You can do it poe”

[multiple nurses come into scene panicking and holding equipment]

Nurse 1 (male)- “bag him. start chest compressions! Quick! Quick!”

All doctors in scene- “come on poe, hold on. Hold on just a little bit longer!”

[shouting and chaos and alarms still going on]

Nurse 1- “Give him and Epi!”

[doctor 2 pumping poe’s chest for breathing]

Doctor 2- “come on, breathe! Breathe poe!”

[while putting an oxygen mask on poe]

Nurse 1- “it’s a massive tension pneumothorax. We need him back now! His lung is collapsing.”

[stella and will walk onto scene confused from different sides of the stage and see whats happening]

Nurse 1- “put the pads on him! put the pads on him!”

Nurse 2- “come on, buddy”

[panics and shouts]

Stella- “barb! What’s happening?”

[doctor 2 looks at stella and shouts]

Doctor 2- “someone get her out of here!”

[almost tears up and covers her mouth]

Stella- “barb! What’s happening?”

Doctor 1- “Breathe, poe! Breathe!”

Scene 2:

[doctor 3 running onto set and stella and will already standing and panicking]

Stella- “Dr. Hamid?”

[still running]

Doctor 3- “not now stella.”

[stella follows hamid into room]

[walks into original room with poe on the floor and doctors surrounding]

[doctor 2 while rubbing poe’s chest and silently crying]

[softly, shakes head]

Doctor 2- “im sorry. Im sorry”

[stella sees and starts crying]

Stella- “No! No! No! No!”

[ Stella starts panicking and screaming while running towards poe.]

Stella- Noo! I said leave me! Let me go!

Stella- Let me talk to him, he can't leave like that.

Doctor 3 - take get away she can't get in!

Will- stella LETS GO, STELLA NO YOU CANT- (tries to stop her)

Stella- leave me! (Cries intensely)

[doctors all mourning in the background, doctor 2 holding poe’s hand]

[while looking at stella]

Doctor 2- “im so sorry.”

[stella shaking her head and crying]

[stella exists stage and will comes in looking at poe and then walks after stella]

Scene 3:

[stella walking into her room crying with her hand on her face and will walks behind her]

Stella- “No, no, no, no, this cant be! Oh my god. He’s gone. No one’s ever gonna see him again! His
parents are never gonna see him again! I’m never gonna see him again.”

[stella still sobbing while her hands on her chest]

Stella- “I never hugged him. I never got to hug him. He’s my best friend and I could never hug him.
Oh, god!”

Stella- “I’m losing everyone. Everyone around me. Everyone close to my heart.”

Will- “you’re not losing anyone, no one is gonna leave your side”

[stella shouts]

Stella- “no! get out! Get out will!”

[Will tries approaching her but stella throws something at him]

Stella- “just get out!”

[stella throws stuff across the room while crying]

[ stella finds a picture of poe, she puts the frame on her chest)

Stella- he was the only one for me, ah- i- can't take this more! (SOBS)

{stella gets a massive anxiety attack}

(sits in corner, panicking and murmering)
