*Words of Grace and Mercy

From generation to generation, God’s love overcomes human sinfulness. God is
committed to fresh starts and new creations. This is good news!
In Jesus Christ we are forgiven!

*Prayer Response
(Hymn 327, stanza 3)
Eternal are thy mercies, Lord; eternal truth attends thy word:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore,
till suns shall rise and set no more.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Anthem The Lord is My Shepherd (Psalm 23)Howard Goodall
Christina Adams, soloist
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are
with me, you will comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Prayer of Our Savior
Our Creator, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

bring fruit and treats for about 40 people. See the sign-up
sheet in the narthex or contact Mahdia in the office for how to

Support the Margarita Inn!

Help us support our neighbors at Connections for the Homeless in securing a future for
The Margarita Inn. There are powerful NIMBY voices in Evanston that want
the Margarita to close or severely scale back its mission and it is essential that
Evanstonians raise their voice in support of our neighbors experiencing housing
insecurity. Join us at Evanston City Council on May 8th and May 22nd to advocate for
this valuable resource in our community.
