Work Literary Semiotics Theory Research To analyze the characters and the sign that they brought using Saussure Theory in Sophie’s travel Topic with Howl and his moving castle, also of every miracle which assumed that they also have meaning behind each of their occurrences in the novel. Research In the novel, there are some things that can happen to have a meaning behind it, mainly the problem main characters which are Sophie, Howl, the Fire, and the Witch. and also every miracle occurrence, such as Sophie’s transformation into an old woman, the walking castle, the Fire who is holding all of the castle together, and Howl’s constant transmogrification into raven. Research To examine and decipher the symbolic matters and their meaning that occurred throughout Purpose Sophie’s journey using Saussure Semiotic theory.. Work Literary Postcolonial Feminism Theory Research The prejudice and bigotry from a higher and more powerful class towards the weaker class Topic which lead to disparity-based violence and brutality, and also the portrayal of empowered women in the novel that want to fight against those discrimination. Research The bigotry and prejudice that a higher status of society does to a more lower status society in problem the novel, which can be a mirror of the commonly encountered occurrence in real life, such as the racism-based violence and brutality. Also, the character of empowered women and their willingness to fight the oppression, while also proving the false of preconceived ideas of women which can be analyzed through the frame of feminism. Research To examine and configure the racism-based prejudice, hatred and violence and the portrayal of Purpose empowered women in the novel which the concept itself might be related to everyday occurrence in real life.
