A True Muslim
To be a good Muslim is, indeed, a great blessing of Allah. The followers of Islam are called
Muslims. A true Muslim is one who follows the teachings of Islam in the real sense. He is the
one who lives his life according to the Sunnah of the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬and the orders of the Holy
Quran. A True Muslim abstains from any action that is prohibited in Islam.
A true Muslim is clean and pure. It means that a true Muslim is never contaminated and if he
gets contaminated, his first action is to clean himself.
The last prophet of Allah, the leader of the Muslims, has emphasized a lot on cleanliness. A

A visit to a historical place gives us information about the people of the past and their
ways of life.In the last summer vacation, a few of my friends decided to go to

moen-jo-daro, a place of great historical interest.
We left Karachi for Larkana by train. On reaching there, we stayed in our hotel. Next

morning,we reached moen-jo-daro by bus. It is at a distance of 27 kilometers from

Larkan on the right bank of the river Indus. Moen-jo-daro means "Mount of the Dead ''
and its rains are about 4500 years old. It was first discovered in 1922, when some
villagers found pieces of old pots and bricks at the place. These pieces were brought to

Sir John Marshall. He was an English civil servant,
whose job was to look after the historical remains. He ordered the man for digging the
place in this way, this old city was discovered.

The people of moen-jo-daro were great traders, farmers and craftsmen. The trade was
carried on through the river Indus which was very near and the sea within easy reach.

The countryside must have been fertile since wheat, rice and cotton grew there. The
farmers also keep cattle.There were skilled craftsmen who work in gold, silver and Ivory.

returned to Larkana. This trip was very interesting and informative for us.

the problem of traffic jam is common. Road accidents frequently take place. Valuable
lives of the people are lost due to these accidents. No traffic discipline is seen on the
roads. The cleanliness and hygienic situation of the city is the worst. It seems that no
department or authority exists in this city who takes the responsibility to keep the city
clean. Heaps of garbage and filth are found in the streets and on the sides of the roads.
The manholes are without covers and water flows on the roads. Stagnant waters breed
mosquitoes and flies that cause malaria and other diseases.
The unnatural and random
growth of population and lack of planning have caused unemployment. The young
people, particularly, the educated people face this problem.

Nowadays true and faithful friends are very rare. A true friend is one who stands by his friend in
his hour of need. If a person leaves his friend at a time when he needs him the most. He cannot
be called a real friend. He is a fair-weather friend. A friend in need is a friend indeed. it is indeed
very difficult to find a true friend in this world. All that glitters is not gold.
We should distinguish between good and bad friends. We should know that only a person who

A terrible accident

A horrible road accident
Road accidents are common in our city. But last week the road accident that took place
near Sharah-e-Faisal was much horrible that the scene of that accident could not
vanished from my mind.
I was travelling by a wagon. All of sudden I heard a loud sound it seemed that two

vehicles would have struck and indeed this very happened. There was hue and cry, no

body knew that how many persons had been injured or killed. There was traffic jam, my
wagon also stopped. At the crossing a public bus had struk a wagon which was coming

from the opposite road. Many people rushed to the accident place. The traffic police
also reached there. Immediately ambulances of the welfare organizations also reached
there to rescue the victims of the accident. They took them to the near hospitals.

Thanks God the casuality was less, only one man died at the spot. However, the
number of injured passengers was high, eight passengers were seriously injured who
were taken to the hospitals. The drivers were arrested for their slackness and careless

I was thinking why the drivers drive their vehicle so recklessly! Why they don't think that
the lives of the passengers and also of their own are valuable. Alas they avoid driving

A cricket match
Cricket is now passion around the world. It has become the most played game across
the world. In Pakistan, it is played at every level from streets to international stadiums.
Many students join professional cricket with the hope of getting space into the Pakistan
Cricket team.
Last Sunday, our college team had a cricket match against Superior College. The match
was played at Govt. College Cricket ground. The match started at 10 am and we
reached the stadium at 9:30 am to facilitate and support our team.

Both teams were ready to give outstanding performance. With blue T-shirts and yellow
trousers, our team called the PCTs (Punjab College Tigers). Superior College named its
nt
cricket team as SLG (Superior Lion Group). Both teams reached the ground and toss
was won by our captain.

PCT decided to bowl first. The first over did not show any special activity as our fast
ish
bowler Muhammad Javed gave two singles. The game went slow normal till 5th over
when our wicket-keeper stumped one of their openers. He was gone at 14 in 20 balls
with 1 four. It was 20 after 5 overs with a wicket fallen.

The ball was handed to our leg spinner Zeshan. He took amazing two wickets in his first

over. The top order of SLG was back to pavilion in six overs putting only 22 on the
scoreboard. The start was in favour of PCTs.

Then came Naveed Ahmad, a left-handed batsman of SLG who played a brilliant inning

of 42 runs with seven boundaries and was taken by Ali Ahmad on long-off. By the end
of 15 overs, SLG were 93/5. The last five overs of the innings gave 26 more runs for 3
more wickets. SLG finished the innings at 119/8. Now PCTs required 120 runs in 20
overs to win the game.
The 2nd inning started after 20 minutes of break and our openers Haris and Sohail
reached the pitch. Haris faced 1st ball and had a narrow escape from being caught
behind. It proved a good omen for the team as he added 35 with the help of 4 fours and
2 sixes to the score just facing 28 balls. He was bowled by Shan Ali.

The game was in our favour till the end of 12th over. The scoreboard told 82/2 after 12
overs. PCTs required 38 more runs in eight overs with an average of 3.2. It was an easy
task. But the misfortune was waiting for its turn.
SLG captain gave the ball to a young bowler named Atif Munir. He was off-break bowler
and was famous for his E-googley. He took four wickets in his first two overs. We were
shocked to see our best middle-order Usman and Fahad going back facing a few balls
each. The whole game was changed and now the scoreboard showed 92/6 after 15
overs.
We still had hope in our all-rounder Salman Sharif. He was on the crease playing with
confidence. Next over was to be bowled by a fast bowler. His first delivery was wide off

the stumps, as it rose up, Salman went on backfoot and hit it hard over the head of the
bowler for a huge six.

The audience clapped and cheered the boundary as it was the need of the time. The
next ball was a wide. The bowler was under pressure and made another mistake- he
bowled a full toss and Salman was ready for it. He pulled it to the mid-on for another six.

Now we needed 8 runs in 2 overs. We lost another wicket in the beginning of next over.

But fortunately, it was not Salman. Babar came to bat. He knew how to take a single. He
took a single and brought Salman on strike. Salman tried to play a good length ball on

long-on but missed it completely. Then he hit a brilliant four on the last ball of the over.
We needed 3 runs in last over with two wickets in hand. But the victory was not in our

fate. Aslam was a run out on the first ball of the last over. We had lost the hope: 5 balls

and 3 runs with one wicket in hand. The next ball brought a single and so did the last
ball. The match ended in a draw. We were both happy and sad. We could win the match
but we could lose it at the same time.
It was a thrilling cricket match in my life.

Inflation is defined as a rise in the prices of goods in a country that reduces the
purchasing power of its citizens. Inflation is not altogether absent from any economy. It
keeps on fluctuating. It remains normal as long as it does not surpass its threshold for a
year.
However, if it goes beyond the determined limit, inflation-crisis springs in a country.

There are multiple kinds of inflation. Demand-pull inflation is caused when the demand
for goods and supplies exceeds the supply available. As a result, the prices go high.
