Dear Denis,

am a Togolese of 22 years old. I am the only child of my parents. It means that in our nuclear
family, we are only three. There is a tight relationship between my parents and me. We love
and assist one another in my family. Our motto is ‘’God, family and solidarity. ’My parents
support each other in the family expenses and house chores. Our household is not just limited
to the nuclear family. We live together with some members of the large family such as my
grandfather and grandmother, my cousins and an aunt. My uncle, the junior brother of my
mother also spends some times with us. The familiarity among us is beyond compare. There is
nothing we cannot share together .My aunt has a son and I always look after him. People say
he resembles me .Every first Sunday of the month we are used to having a family meeting in
our house. The in attendance during such meetings is always around twenty five people. Our
family tree is like that of Adam and Eve in the bible, no wonder our family name is Adams.

Lesson 4: theme 2: The youth, problems and perspectives.
‘’When we are babies we know a little about life’. ’At tender ages we are less concerned about
life issues’’. When you become young, know that you are at the crossroad of big and trivial
decisions. The above three sentences are mostly uttered by men and women who have gone
through life. It is true that young people have many problems and prospective that they need
to handle with care if not, they will end up in lamentations. What are some of the problems of
youngsters?
As the bible foretold, in the last days children in general will become disobedient to parents.
This we can observe today with a high rates of youth who disrespect their parents and teachers.
Many of them are drug addicts, smoking cigarettes and marijuana. Some have given themselves
to alcoholism, robbery, prostitution and all the alike. All in the name of civilization, some are
copying blindly the fashion of other nations. These misconduct and diversion of youth do not
spare them from terrible diseases such as HIV/AIDS and many more.
However it is to be noted that some youth are devoted to their studies but end up with
unemployment, one of the major problems that push young people to give up in life or simply
commit suicide.
Unless a youngster is shown grace he will divert the real course of his life and he can’t meet up
with the ideal life. But you may ask, is only problems one can face at the life crossroad of
youth?
Youth also have some perspectives such as: studying, getting trained, and writing projects,
having a scholarship, travelling abroad, getting and keeping a job (employment), wearing the
latest clothes, organizing a mini party, inviting friends and many more.
If the parents, the teachers and the religious leaders are not helping the youth to see things the
way they must see them, many of them will divert from the way of happy life. Youth need to
be sensitized on the issues of civism.

Lesson 5 youth employment
Text 5: unemployment
In 1960 and1970 youth did not need to apply or have any formal qualification for employment.
Employers usually post job offers in their halls of residence for those interested to pick and
choose from as soon as they finished their degree examinations. How bad things have changed!
The problem of employment is so acute nowadays that one finds unemployment even among
What are the causes of this phenomenon? For one thing, our educational system does not train
employ him or her as a civil servant or a clerk. Many young people don’t like doing menial
works, instead, they prefer administration works where they will sit in offices with the latest tie
round their neck. They are the results of our educational system! Most youngsters wish they
would be like the Hollywood or Nollyhood stars that they watch on television, they want
nothing but administration work. They submit their files or credentials to institutions where
workers are always neat but earn poor or meagre salary. Many of our youth, enrol in ‘’serie
G2’’ in order to be qualified for a post at bank. Unfortunately even banks nowadays are not
able to pay consistent salary .I wish youth could turn to agriculture, to trading or even to manual
We are all looking forward to hearing that our educational system is revised to fit the needs of
the youth.

Lesson 6: youth immigration
Text 6: immigration
Every year thousands of youth leave their country for other destinations. They travel from their
home town to abroad where they start life afresh. They leave their families and friends behind
to face sometimes friendly or hostile new environments. Some quit their nations because of
political turmoil or controversies while the great majority go in search of green pasture, which
Unfortunately, many of these youth face hostility once abroad. Right from the process of
immigration they have to deal with the rude and ill treatment of customs.
In their new world, they need to make new friends and broaden themselves in order to feel at
ease in their new environment. They encounter many difficulties and sufferings such as racism,
Some of these moves turn out completely with shame and despair compelling some to come
back home. Others who are not courageous enough to make the U-turn would venture into
Nevertheless, some of these youth, once in the new place improve their skills and acquire further
In this analysis I realize that youth immigration is full of problems than profits.

information. The tool of this procession is the computer. It is the sum total of the electronic
components used in the collection of data. There are different elements that made up a
computer.
The central processing unit CPU also called mainframe is the brain or the memory of the
computer. On the computer we also have the screen, the keyboard, the mouse etc. The CPU
comprises the storage units where information or files are stocked. Microsoft is a system of
exploitation, it helps surfing the computer. Nowadays it has become necessary for everyone to
have a training in the domain of ICT in order to know how to computerize files, to copy and
paste researched information .The printer is a separate machine that is connected to the
computer with a cable so as to print on a hard copy the information processed on the computer.
Some computers like laptops are chargeable because they use a power saving battery. For
computers like desktop, they use direct power supply .People are no more using desktops in
homes, they prefer iPad tablets and drag and drop laptops despite their expensiveness.
