Tuesday, February 7, 2023 Day E HELPFUL STUDENTS: Monroe, Jonni, Chloe, Dylan, Adam **Logan@his a flight risk. He has a history of leaving the classroom and has also left the playground. He has an aide with him sometimes. Please keep your eye on him at all times and if he walks out of the room without asking, call the office (5000) or his teacher (5032) for emotional support. He is only allowed to use the bathroom in his emotional support classroom, not the one in the hallway in third grade. He should be down with his emotional support teacher in the morning until about 8:50. Jonni may get upset if she gets an answer incorrect or does not finish an assignment. Encourage her to use the peace corner to calm herself for 5 minutes. She may get up and go to that spot in the classroom. If she refuses to leave the classroom to go to special, call Miss Chris (5508) our social worker to assist with Jonni. If she doesn’t answer, call the office (5000). Any student can ask to use the calm corner if they are upset. They set the timer for 5 minutes and then return to work. General Info FYI: Students raise their hands in a fist when they have to go to the bathroom and | give a silent nod to give permission. They should not be asking during teaching, All students have a green “time folder” in their desks with a seasonal packet to complete during “free” time when all other work is complete. They also have a red “priority folder” in their desks in which they keep priority work that needs to be completed. They may silent read as well. They always have something to do. © If students give any trouble, please record their names. The traits we promote in being an “Eagle” are Effort, Accountability, Gratitude, Leadership, and Encouragement. If rules are broken, please record. Also, any students doing particularly well, in behavior, helpfulness, kindness, participating, or any of the above, please note: PLEASE SEE THE NOTE OF STUDENT INFO... (under my desk on a magnetic clip) Bus information is also there, Computer programs we use: Xtra Math, McGraw Kill Reading, Epic library, Splash Learn, typing.com, Spelling City, Timestables.com, and IXL. They can be used throughout the day if you need afiller. They are pretty self-sufficient with these programs. CLASS REWARD: *You can give Dojo Points to anyone. Let me know if you award any. They use these to shop at the school store. “Monroe will give everyone 3 sticks to start the day. If they “blurt” out any time you are teaching, simply take 1 stick from his/her desk. If anyone loses all 3, let me know. At the end of the day, Monroe will collect sticks left and count them and write it on the board *Ifa teacher compliments the class in the hallway, a checkmark is added to the compliment chart up front. SCHEDULE STARTS HERE: 8:40-9:00 ANNOUNCEMENTS/MORNING WORK/MATH INTERVENTION ~ Makaylee and Elyza go to Mrs. Foster for math support. PLEASE TELL THEM TO GO AT EXACTLY 8:40, NOT BEFORE. Take attendance. Take lunch count by looking at filing cabinet side. Yellow fish is hot lunch, orange fish is alternate, blue fish is salad, green fish is packing (not needed for lunch count but to see who is absent.) Put those slips in the office envelope, along with any notes students place in the top of my green file shelf on my desk. Hang office envelope outside my door with magnetic clip. Homework is written on the board. Please check that all copy. Jayce, Alex, Logan, and ‘Abrianna do not copy Reading, Spelling, or Language Arts. Only Logan copies math. Social Studies — Quiz on using directions Thurs. 2/9 BE SURE ALL STUDENTS COPY SOCIAL STUDIES* 9:00 - 10:00 MATH Jayce, Abrianna, and Alex leave for math support. Complete Math word problems on Chapter 4 Review. Once most have completed a page, £0 over the page together. Students must show their work. They can use block paper in the back, lined paper in the back, or write the problem on the sheet, Get through as much as you can. Skip # 5,6,17,18 missing digit problems. We will go back and do these later: ‘After that, they can work on IXL computer program ONLY. SPECIAL Take the kids to Technology with their computers, to the computer lab. Some students from Miss Hinkle’s class walk to special with us. Pick up the kids at 10:40, 10:45 ~ 11:20 READING Logan, Jayce, Abrianna, and Alex leave for reading support. Reading - Read soft book story, Gray Wolf! Red Fox! Students should fill out the sidebars of each page. Read and discuss, fill out sidebars together. After this they should go on McGraw Hill app. Around 11:15, They can have a snack for about 5-10 minutes. 11:20-12:00 READING INTERVENTION Support students will return for this class. Makaylee {goes to Mrs. Foster at 11:20. Other support services may call for students. During this time you can read 1-2 chapters from Sideways Stories.
