4 Week 4

Understanding the place of Health in the HPE learning Area within the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and
Reporting Authority (ACARA) and the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCASA). A series of tasks will
assist students to familarise with both SCASA and ACARA.

Explore the scope and sequence maps from SCASA and list the general health topics that are recommended to
be covered in a particular year group – choose one year group to focus on.

Gain a sound understanding of the design of the HE curriculum area; name the sub-strands and focus areas
within Personal, Social and Community Health.

How are the ACARA and SCASA Curriculum frameworks similar and how do they differ?

There will be a series of tasks within the workshop to help you gain a sound understanding of the
