@ Foes ENERGY GROUP Global Energy & Commodity Group COMMUNITY RELATIONS POLICY In developing our policy and plans for interaction with communities within our Areas of operation where works are to be executed, FDGS ENERGY GROUP OF COMPANIES LIMITED have taken into consideration identified the root causes of community disturbances are commonly as follows. + Economie hardship and unemployment resulting from depressed economy © Marginalization or Incitement of marginalization of communities by their representatives + Disparity in literacy level * Communication gap © Urban-rural migration In recognizing these, as an environmental sensitive company, FDGS policy, is to forestall any disturbances and rather enjoy the active co-operation of the host communities. We intend to achieve this through HSES department via: engaging the host community indigenes for all casual employment and site security staff in addition to our set out budget for community development projects. Our HSES department will liaise with our client's CLOs and visit all our anticipated host communities to work out an agreement to ascertain areas of co-operation and assistance, in line with company procedures prior each project operations ic., before mobilization to site. ‘Also, our aim is to avoid disturbances in form of confrontations in its totality or minimally. In this vein we hope to be represented in all community affairs, seminars and meetings organized by our clients always. Respond to all formal community request in an appropriate and timely manner. FDGS aim to avoid disturbances completely, but where they occur, we shall endeavor to resolve these conflicts peacefully using our previously established rapports/contacts with the communities concerned. If conflicts of larger proportion, we shall seek support of Local Government Authorities, clan heads and elite members of the communities their resolutions.
