5) The internal dimensions of a single roomed building are 5.75 × 3.75 m. Find 5
i) The Center line and long wall-short wall length of room and parapet if the wall
thickness of room and parapet are 300mm and 250mm respectively.
ii) Also find the quantity of sand filling in basement for same building if the height of
basement is 750mm and Plinth wall thickness is 400mm.
(Explain with diagram)
6) Prepare the rough estimate for a proposed commercial complex for a municipal
corporation for following data. 5

Plinth area = 500 m
Floor Ht of each storey = 3.5 m
No. of storey’s = G + 2
Cubical content rate = Rs. 1000/m 3
Provided for a following as a percentage of structured cost-
a) Water supply and sanitary arrangement – 8%
b) Contractors Profit – 10%
c) Electrification – 6%
d) Fluctuation of rates – 5%
e) Petty supervision and contingencies – 3%

7) Analysis the Unit rate for 12 mm cement plastering in ceiling 1:3 with coarse sand.
