Genada, Geniega, Grabato, Hermitano, Jance, Jardin, Lacxina, Langub, Lantin, Lariosa

The group interviewed Ms. Pauline, a nurse educator working in the United States, in terms of how it
is to work with her colleagues who have diverse cultures. She stated that she has worked with a lot of
nurses who have different cultures, and most of them are African American, Hispanic, Indian, and
even Arabs.
These were the noted observations for each group of culture according to Ms. Pauline:
African American
- Very compassionate when it comes to giving care to their patients
- Always has a sense of humor towards the staff
- Likely the ones who would offer help first to their colleagues
Hispanic
- They prefer to talk using their native language
- Hard to communicate due to language barriers
- Still gives effort when it comes to communicating with colleagues who do not speak their
language
Indian
- Even in the medical field, her Indian colleagues would still believe on traditional medicine
Arabs
- Arab nurses only take care patients or prefer to take care of patients with the same gender.
