Membrane Disc Diffusers

ITALPROGETTI designes and manufactures

fine-bubble disc diffusers for liquid mixing
and gas-liquid transfer, in municipal and
industrial applications.

Advantages
Great constructive easiness: the membrane is
stably fitted to the support disc without screws
or ring-nuts.
High chemical resistance: the membrane
is made of peroxidic EPM that guarantees a
very high chemical resistance even to oxidant
compounds like pure oxygen and ozone, and a
high temperature resistance.
Long life time: the membrane has a very low
oil content and during moulding process is
blended an antibacterial agent in order to re-
duce significantly biological fouling.
Easy maintenance: the membrane is mounted
on the base plate without any coupling agents;
sealing is guaranteed by the hemispherical
shape of the base plate.
High efficiency: the innovative slot opening
guarantees high oxygen transfer rate.
Security system: to prevent water leakages, a
check valve integrated into the disc diffuser.
Post-curing: each membrane is treated by a
post-curing process that guarantees high per-
formances.

Coarse Bubble Air Diffusers

Entirely made of AISI 316 stainless steel,

ITALPROGETTI coarse bubble diffusers
represent one of the most efficient and reliable
solution in the field of aeration.

Advantages
A clog-free design: the diffuser has been
designed in order to prevent clogging, also, in
MBBR reactors even in the presence of calcium
precipitation.
Maintenance free: the specific shape of the
lower part of the deflector limits the entry of
debris into the diffuser and almost completely
eliminates the need for maintenance.
Resistance to corrosion: thanks to the
passivation by immersion after manufacturing,
the diffuser acquires a resistance to erosion /
corrosion, allowing to maintain full structural
integrity even in the heat-sealed areas and
extending the average duration of the product
life cycle by more than 20 years
High Temperature resistance: the diffusers
are design to work in a very critical field with
temperature up to 80°C.
Open and Closed design: the diffuser has
been designed for traditional biological
treatment (Mod. DC600-O) and for MBBR
reactors (Mod. DC600-C).
Low concentrated head losses: air
accumulated in the central part of the diffuser
allowing to obtain a constant and uniform flow
which prevents clogging of the diffuser.
