    PT kereta api Indonesia (persero) or KAI will soon operate the makassar-parepare
    train. In its implementation,KAI cooperates with PT sulsel citra Indonesia
    (perseroda) under the name of the railway consortium. This operational assignment
    refers to the appointment by the ministry of transportation directorate general of
    railways to the sulsel railway consortium through a letter dated 27 june 2022.
    Currently,the status of the makassar-parepare train is in a trial period.
