The IW&I Risk management team is responsible for the development,

implementation and maintenance of the IW&I Risk Management Framework,
policies and practices, including 2nd line oversight of non-financial and financial
risk types.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement risk frameworks, policies and practices to


identify, assess, measure, mitigate and risk exposures.
• Support and challenge senior management in meeting their
responsibility for identifying and managing risk.
• Engage with senior management on risk exposures and provide
recommendations regarding mitigation.
• Monitor the implementation of risk management and mitigation
initiatives, including challenge and review of risk management
practices.
• Ensure that risk data is complete, accurate and timely.
• Monitor emerging practices and stakeholder expectations and develop
an appropriate response.
• Facilitate the risk scenario assessment process.
• Training and education of IW&I staff on relevant risk matters.

• Ensure that relevant regulatory requirements are evaluated and
complied with.
• Escalate risk exposures to IW&I senior management and provide
recommendations regarding mitigation.
• Report to the IW&I Board or IW&I Board committees on the risk profile.
• Prepare the relevant regulatory reports.

The Senior Risk Manager is an integral member of the Risk team and is

financial risks. The framework is designed to reduce inherent risks and
prevent/minimise IW&I losses through preventative steps or actions.

• Develop and implement risk frameworks, policies and practices to


identify, assess, measure, mitigate and risk exposures.
• Implement and run non-financial and financial risk forums/committees.
• Provide thought leadership within the Risk team and wider Compliance
& Risk department.
• Proactively collaborate and co-ordinate risk activities with other
assurance functions.
• Establish, implement and maintain adequate policies and procedures
designed to detect any risk of failure by the firm to comply with its
obligations under the regulatory system, as well as associated risks,
and put in place adequate measures and procedures designed to
minimise such risks.
• Monitor and, on a regular basis, to assess the adequacy and
effectiveness of the measures and procedures put in place and the
actions taken to address any deficiencies in the firm's compliance with
its obligations.
• Advise and assist the relevant persons responsible for carrying out
regulated activities to comply with the firm's obligations under the
regulatory system.
• Implement appropriate plans, policies and procedures to ensure the
effective delivery of the tasks which are to be completed by the Risk
Team.
• Provide robust review and challenge of risk exposures.
• Investigate root causes of risks/events and provide support to mitigate
risk.
• Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting to risk committees.
• Promote a culture of risk conscious across IW&I.

• Thorough understanding of risks and controls within financial services.


Core skills and knowledge
• Experience in developing and implementing risk frameworks,
committees, policies.
• Non-financial (including. conduct risk) and financial risk theoretical and
practical knowledge and experience.
• Challenge – ability to challenge multiple SMEs and management on a
wide range of topics and risks.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating
our customers fairly.

• Communication – ability to engage with a wide range of colleagues
and articulately discuss / write report on various issue (verbal / written
/ presentation).
• Ability to lead and manage people and business stakeholders.
• Attention to detail – to pick up on errors and produce accurate work,
with strong analytical capability
