IFS will again present AFTECH member fintech companies, as well as regulators such

as Bank Indonesia and OJK, as well as other stakeholders in the fintech industry, both
from Indonesia and abroad.

AFTECH feels very proud to be holding IFS again which is expected to be able to optimize
the positive impact of the financial services sector on sustainable economic growth and
financial system stability in the future by implementing a balance between innovation,
growth and consumer protection. "As an association officially appointed by the OJK to
oversee Digital Financial Innovation (IKD) organizers, the IFS event is AFTECH's effort to
achieve its vision, which is to encourage financial inclusion through digital financial
services," said Pandu.

Meanwhile, the Head of Bank Indonesia's Payment System Policy Department (DKSP)
Group, Dudi Dermawan, stated that the number of fintech in Indonesia is growing rapidly
with transactions that continue to accelerate. This growth, according to Dudi, is inseparable
from the efforts and role of fintech associations and various other related associations.
Collaboration and synergy between regulators and fintech need to be continuously
strengthened to support and oversee various strategic initiatives to encourage economic
recovery and financial integration and accelerate the digitalization of the payment system in
Indonesia. In this regard, the implementation of IFS 2022 activities is one of the clear pieces
of evidence of this collaboration and synergy."

"In organizing this year's IFS, BI together with AFTECH and OJK raised various themes that
are still in line with the topics of the Indonesian G20 Presidency. Dudi added, "The G20
Indonesia presidency raised the development of cross-border payments as one of the priority
agendas. In realizing this, interoperability achieved through international cross-border
cooperation needs to be strengthened amid increasing economic and financial digitalization,
including accelerating digitalization towards economic-financial inclusion, remittances, retail
trade and MSMEs," said Dudi Dermawan.
The implementation of IFS 2022 is also supported by the OJK as a form of commitment to
strengthening governance and infrastructure needed in line with the rapid growth of fintech.
Head of OJK's Digital Financial Innovation Group, Triyono, said "Strengthening the digital
financial sector can be seen from a supply and demand perspective. On the supply side,
currently, OJK is collaborating with all elements of the digital financial ecosystem in the
midst of preparing infrastructure such as e-KYC, electronic signatures, and digital IDs as well
as cybersecurity tools that are believed to be able to improve governance and the level of
security in transactions through digital financial services and products. On the demand side,
the public must also be prepared with adequate digital financial literacy so that they
understand the risks of transacting through digital financial products and services. I think the
role of the association is quite central on both sides," he said.

As one of the organizing partners, General Chairperson of AFPI Adrian Gunadi welcomed
IFS and BFN enthusiastically. Adrian hopes that this time IFS and BFN can generate
significant ideas, especially to optimize the potential of the fintech industry which originates
from the real needs of society.

Adrian gave an example of the birth of the fintech lending industry which was driven by the
high credit gap in Indonesia, which reached IDR 1,650 trillion as of 2018, especially among
the unbanked and underserved people. The presence of fintech lending is expected to be a
solution to this problem. “The fintech lending industry has proven to be able to provide easy
financial services amidst the large number of Indonesian people who are still in the unbanked
category. As of September 2022 alone, the industry has managed to record an aggregate
disbursement of funding reaching IDR 455 trillion which was disbursed by 960,396 lenders
or lenders to 90.21 million loan recipients or borrowers. This is clear evidence of fintech
lending's contribution in equalizing financial inclusion in Indonesia," he said.

Closing the press conference, General Chair of AFTECH Pandu Sjahrir said, "Thank you to
our partners who are swift and work hand in hand for the success of the 4th IFS 2022. We
also invite the wider community, through IFS and BFN, to #MajuBersamaFintech."
